A Seeker Circle about attachment, control, regret and knowing when to stop holding on

“Let it go.”

It is something we hear often.

But letting go is much easier to say than to do.

We hold on to relationships.

Past mistakes.

Expectations.

Anger.

Disappointment.

Old identities.

Plans for how life was supposed to unfold.

Sometimes holding on gives us strength.

Sometimes it keeps us trapped.

So what does it actually mean to let go?

Does letting go mean giving up?

Does it mean forgetting?

Forgiving?

Accepting?

Or simply stopping our struggle against something we can no longer change?

For this Seeker Circle, we will explore what makes letting go difficult and whether there is a difference between acceptance and resignation.

Before coming, you might like to consider:

What is something people often tell us to “let go of” — and why can it be so hard to do?

During the discussion, we will explore different experiences of attachment, change and control, and consider whether letting go is something we actively do or something that happens naturally when our understanding changes.

We may also introduce perspectives from Taoist and Eastern philosophy on non-forcing, acceptance and moving with change.

There is no correct answer to reach.

Just a question worth sitting with.

One Question. One Evening. Many Perspectives.

Please arrive from 6:20 pm • Conversation begins at 6:30 pm sharp.

There are no limits to the number of people able to join.
