A photographer once told Judy M. King that she shoots BIG. Judy thinks it's the boldness, close-ups, minimalism, and uncluttered backgrounds that contribute to a super-sized effect. She embraces clean design, high-impact, and novelty in her photos.

To Judy, "photography is the melding of grace, intuition, preparedness, and skill." Among other things, she considers herself to be a "publicist for the ordinary, making the common uncommon." She likes to challenge perceptions, immortalizing the eye-catching and seldom-seen. Some of Judy's joys include making unconventional cropping decisions and capturing movement, glorious color, and costumed people. Noteworthy are her multi-panel images. She often includes word play and cultural references in her titles.

Judy's award-winning photographs appear in solo and group exhibitions, books, and magazines in the United States and Europe. She has been an organizer for The Art of Photography since 2017. Her inspiration stems from God and a long list of photographers, digital artists, architects, fashion designers, painters, poets, and comedians.

We invite you to attend this session where Judy reveals the thoughts and surprises behind her unique and eclectic work.
