Join Us on Our Industry City Photo Shoot (Saturday, November 15, 2025, 11:00 am)

Come join our hosts, Joseph Sharp and Paola Corso, for an exciting day of photography at Sunset Park's Industry City, a 16-industrial building complex that's become a vibrant hub for artist studios, eateries, and bars, and a wide variety of specialty shops (furniture, guitars, blacksmith shop, arcade, game lounge, yarn shop, art supplies, and more).

Industry City offers a vibrant mix of industrial architecture, striking murals, and lively outdoor courtyards that make it ideal for creative photography sessions. The converted warehouses and colorful street art provide diverse backdrops for urban portraits, branding shoots, while bustling food halls and artisan markets add energy and character to candid scenes.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Theme Challenge: "Framed." Think archways, windows, tree branches, iron fences, anything that will draw the focus of your subject and allow you to choose what you place in and what you leave out of your composition.

We expect that there will be lots of foot traffic and people spending time with family and friends, and though this is a public space, we ask that you avoid being intrusive.

Meeting Location/Event Hosts
Your hosts will be Paola and Joe. We will meet at 36th st and 3rd ave in front of Cafe La Morena and Ayat Restaurant. The hosts and organizers can help lead small groups around the space to help navigate, but all of our photography members are free to roam on their own. Either way, it is up to you to find and share your creative vision.

Post-Event
For those of you who would like to join us afterwards, at approximately 12:30 pm we will meet at the Frying Pan for a drink and/or something to eat. We welcome everyone to join us and share what you've captured and your experience.

PHOTO CHALLENGE
Once this Meetup event ends, we will create an album on the Photos page. Please post up to five (5) of your best photographs from the event before 7 PM (ET) on Thursday, November 20, 2025.

Eligible photos:

• Must be taken on Saturday, November 15th in Industry City
• Must be posted before the deadline
• Must have a title
• Must NOT be sexually explicit or suggestive

This album will be reviewed. The winning image will become the permanent album cover of the event. The name of the winning photographer will appear in the album title.
