About us
A COMMUNITY FOR ARTISTIC AND CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY.
Welcome to The Art of Photography International! Our purpose is to spark creativity, open new doors, incite discussion and learn from each other in a positive and sharing environment. The program is designed to facilitate the merging of the principles of art and graphic design with excellent camera craft. To take each one of us no matter what level of experience to places, levels and worlds that are out of our comfort zone. Our review/discussion programs, our photo shoots and educational sessions are free. Your submissions for discussion are for you to choose without regard to theme or genre. However, because we are a public group, we ask that you refrain from submitting photos of nudes or with sexual content. We recommend uploading photos at 72 dpi, with the longer side 2048 pixels.
To cultivate artistic discernment and good sportsmanship and encourage focused creativity, we hold a monthly themed, contest judged by founder Jack Wild. He selects one winner and several honorable mentions. Every event photo shoot has a challenge with one winner.
The Art Of Photography began as a Museum Art School program in 2002 and has expanded to over 18,000 members worldwide, so many of whom have grown into exceptional photographers that are hugely represented in international award shows. We are truly excited for your participation and look forward to your development as creative and artistic photographers.

đ Presenting 2/25 at 7 pm: iPhoneography by Elise S, Arnold P and Gary L
¡OnlineOnline0 attendees from 0 groupsâWhat the âIâ Seesâ: An iPhoneography Presentation
In this presentation Elise Schreiber, Arnold Plotnick and Gary Levy
will share how their âiâ sees: from journalistic street moments to lyrical, interpretive imagery and beyond, highlighting the surprising power of the phone we carry every day.iPhoneographyâa word born with the release of the first iPhone in 2007âhas evolved into an entire creative discipline. What began with a simple 2-megapixel camera has grown into a remarkably powerful tool: high dynamic range, multiple lenses, panorama and macro capabilities, and an ever-expanding universe of editing apps right at your fingertips. Traveling light with an iPhone lets photographers act instantly, remain unobtrusive, and experiment freely with angles, close-ups, long exposures, and low-light scenesâopening creative doors that bulky gear sometimes canât.
Elise Schreiber
Elise Schreiber is a British retired interior designer now residing in Tampa, FL whose photographs have been exhibited at the Laurie Tennent Studio in Michigan and the Henri Vincenot Public Library in Venarey-Les Laumes, France. Her work is often inspired by light, atmosphere, and the fleeting, impressionistic scenes she encounters.Arnold Plotnick

Known for his keen eye, inventive approach, and wry sense of humor, his images have been featured in Black & White Magazine, KLICK: The Magazine for Street Photographers, and Mobiography Magazine. His ongoing visual storytelling appears on his blog, The Everyday Frame (theeverydayframeblog.com).Gary Levy
Gary Levy resides in Margate, NJ.Gary won a âBest of Showâ award in Ocean City Art Centerâs 2019 Annual Photo Contest, and a 2020 month-long solo photo show there.
