You are cordially invited to this “out-of-the-ordinary" Day of the Dead photowalk event to challenge your Street Photography skills, as well as sharpen your urban scenery talents. You’ll be able to practice Street / Documentary Photography under various types of lighting conditions, while anticipating and executing under exciting decisive moments opportunities.

There will be displays of Day of the Dead costumes, performers, interesting characters, and food vendors. This celebration culminates at dusk with a spectacular Skeleton Stroll at 6:00 pm. This event runs from 3 pm to 11 pm at Esplanade Park, 400 SW 2nd Street, Fort Lauderdale... right next to the IMAX 3D Theater and Museum of Science.
Parking can be found at the Arts and Science District Garage and the Government Center Parking Garage.
**We’ll meet and start our photowalk at the front of the AutoNation IMAX Theater** right across the street from Esplanade Park on W. Las Olas **at 4:00 PM**. ***After we convene you can enjoy the event and leave at your convenience.***
**AutoNation IMAX Theater:** We will meet in front of the Theater at 4 p.m. We will start at the AutoNation IMAX Theater and then you will be free to enjoy the event.
**Parking:** There is metered street parking and parking garages in around the area.
**Photos opportunities:**
This is a great opportunity for street photography, costumes, make up artists and performers.
**What to bring:**
Comfortable walking shoes, a moderate zoom and wide angle lens.
**Things to keep in mind:**
**CHALLENGE - A Day of the Dead Album** will be created for the event. Post three (3) of your best photographs from the event.
Submission deadline is 7 pm, Friday November 7, 2024.
**A BEST photo from the meetup album** will become the permanent cover for the event\*\*.
The name of the winning photographer will also be displayed on the album cover. There will **not be** any honorable mentions.

Atlantic Avenue Delray Beach is a great spot for all kinds of "The Art of Seeing". Active nightlife, beautiful people , cars, trains, and architecture are just some of the fantastic opportunities you will find. come and shoot in daylight and stay to shoot when the sun goes down. Cameras iPhones, etc., ARE welcomed.

Check out Pineapple Grove, Silverball Arcade , Old School Square , and great streets and alleyways. Restaurants and signage galore can offer you street photography, abstract, or even food photography!!
There are endless opportunities when you put your creative mind to work!

Meet us in front of the Arts Garage where there is a parking garage ( $5.00 ) . The address is :

There is another parking garage behind Old School Square. Handicap parking is free at any of the garages or lots around. Delray uses Park Mobile ( #3171)

Once the meet up ends, we will create an album for you to post three of your favorite photographs from November 7th only, please. We'll choose the best photo from the meetup challenge album to become the permanent photo from the event. Deadline for submission is Thursday November 13th, 7pm.

Think outside the box with zooming, Intentional Camera Movement, slow shutter speeds, and abstraction.

### The Sarasota Medieval Fair is Back at our 47-Acre Home!

Welcome one and all to weekends of exciting tournaments, scrumptious feasts, & pure family fun at the Sarasota Medieval Fair!
We are so proud to announce the triumphant return of the renowned **21st Annual Sarasota Medieval Fair**! The fair will be held Saturdays & Sundays, Nov. 1-30, 2025 at our beautiful new home, the Woods of Mallaranny! The Woods of Mallaranny, offers 47-acres of stunning natural surroundings that will bring the fair to life.
We can already hear the sounds of the fair: the shouts of “throw wide the gates!”, laughter at our Children’s Realm, cheers during the equestrian tournaments, and the music from wandering troubadours. And who could forget the aroma of turkey legs and kettle corn in the air?
The festival as more than just an event. The Sarasota Medieval Fair brings together local artisans, performers, and vendors, and serves as a fundraiser to multiple non-profit organizations. It’s a creative forum for learning about the history of the Medieval era through a wide-range of family friendly activities, and an occasion through which our community has made lasting friendships and lifelong memories. A huge thank you to all our participants and guests who have supported us over the years to help us make this dream come alive!
