Near Arabia Mountain - New Trails!

About The Trail:
This hike will cover parts of some existing and some new trails that are located just 10 minutes south (by car) of Arabia Mountain.

Scenic highlights for this trail include rolling hills and lots of wooded trails! Note: they have been adding several new and interconnecting trails literally every time we hike here, so we get the benefit of fresh trails!

Notes:
Distance = Our normal 8-10 miles
Time: Budget ~ 3 hours
Skill Rating = Easy
Pace = Fast: 3 to 3½ miles per hour
Special Equipment = None needed, though hiking poles and hike shoes are recommended
Other Stuff = No dogs, but kids that can keep the posted pace are encouraged to attend. And as always, please make sure to bring some food, water, and snacks.

Directions/Meeting Spot:
. From the Arabia Mountain Visitors Center on Klondike Road, take Klondike to the right for about five minutes
. As soon as you cross over the stream, take an immediate left onto Union Church Road
. Drive about two minutes, then take a left onto East Fairview
. Park will be on your left, about two minutes down (I think it is the second left)

And Don't Forget:
We'll go to a local restaurant or brewery after the hike.

Optional: This trail system is only a few minutes away from the Monastery that I frequently mention during our Arabia Mountain hikes (the Monastery building itself is huge, and has a nice lake and other buildings on its complex, including a garden store where they feature tons of bonsai trees, as well as a general store where you can purchase what I call 'monk bars').
