What we're about

The meetup for people that work on The Web, with an emphasis on cross-discipline, collaboration and community.

Do you work on the Web? Do you create content or code, work on user experience or process?

The likelihood is you have a passion for a single discipline - but collaboration with other people working in different areas of The Web is how we can bring about larger change to the way people use The Internet, and how we work together.

The Web Meetup will bring together people from differing backgrounds to talk about all things Web. UX and UI, Front end Development, User Research, even the way we work. The different perspectives in the spotlight each month will help us all grow and learn more about what we do and how we can work with one another to produce a better product.

From the founders of BuzzConf (https://www.meetup.com/buzzconf/), Angular JS Melbourne (https://www.meetup.com/AngularJS-Melbourne) and Be Responsive (https://www.meetup.com/Be-Responsive-Melbourne/), this meetup will be run by a community for a community - and we're looking for volunteers from all backgrounds to join us! With half a dozen organisers, we will each be responsible for finding one speaker every few months - a small commitment that will help us reach more people with a wider range of topics. If you are interested in joining us get in touch (rick@giner.com.au)!

Rick.
