Talk 1: **Here we go again: Java 26**
We'll explore everything new in Java 26!

* We are respectful and warm with each other. Our cultural and professional background is diverse
* The hosts or regular players, can ask misbehaving players to step out from the court, in order to maintain the good vibes

The Crazy C++ Quiz
📢 Main event starts at 18:30 CET
René has a passion for collecting unusual code constructs and presenting them anonymously to an interested audience. Any resemblance to existing code is purely coincidental 🤭.
There will be plenty of opportunities to puzzle over the quirks of C++, whether you are an experienced developer or just curious about the language. The challenges might drive you crazy if you tackle them alone, but working together as a group, you just might make it through. The main goal is to enjoy the challenge, not take things too seriously, and have some fun along the way.
🧠 All you need is your brain - no notebooks needed.
🪙 We appreciate any **voluntary donations** on-site.
⏱️ Arrive early for pre-socializing—simple snacks and drinks will be provided.
🍕 After the event, we will relocate to a pizzeria (at your own expense).
Photo Walk - Prater at sunset/night
Join me for a photo walk through Prater :)
We will gather shortly before sunset (sunset time is 19.35) at the front gates of the amusement park. After a short introduction we will go for a photowalk among the rides. At the end of the walk everyone is welcome to join for a warm drink at a nearby cafe.
The event is free of charge but will be limited to max 6 people as it is meant as an opportunity to connect, and the park is the perfect location for losing parts of a group. It is suitable for all regardless of age/level/gear.
IMPORTANT: as these events are usually full, please make sure to cancel at least 24h in advance if you see you aren´t able to make it.

Modern Meditation and Connection Circle
Looking for a space to slow down, **meditate, and have thoughtful conversations with new people**?
Join me for an evening of shared silence and genuine connection.
**No meditation experience needed — just curiosity!**
**What to expect**
This isn’t a meditation class. It is a space where mindfulness and community meet.
Each Circle has three simple parts:
**Meditation — Conversation — Connection**
• **Meditation:** a short (around 20 min) meditation, where I give minimal guidance and we sit in silence together
• **Conversations**: afterwards we create a safe space for conversations that go beyond small talk. We explore how mindfulness can impact different areas of our lives, with a new topic in each circle. You may share or just observe and gain new insights, both are welcome!
• **Community:** in the end there will be plenty of time to connect with others in a non-structured format around tea and snacks. Something I've been missing when doing meditation classes elsewhere. To connect with like-minded people!
**Background:**
Hi, I’m Katja. I’ve been meditating for over a decade. Why the practice brought tremendous benefits into my life and made me a genuinely happier person, I always felt something was missing: **a non-religious community around it.**
A space for people who meditate, or are curious about it, but also crave deep, authentic connections with others. Where we can meditate together and talk about the benefits and challenges that come with the practice. To **turn** **it from a solitary practice into a shared experience.**
Come join me, if that resonates with you!

**Costs:**
It's a free event but a contribution to the room and tea/snacks would be very much appreciated to keep it going!
**Please reserve your spot for free via Luma!**

**(and please cancel if you can't make it after all)**

*For more info, please see www.kinspace.at*
**FAQs**
* Can I come alone?
Absolutely. The purpose of the circle is to make it easy to meet others in a natural and relaxed way.
* In what language will the circle be held?
The main session will be held in English to keep it inclusive for everyone.
During breakout conversations, you’re welcome to speak German or any other language if others in the group share it.
* Is this similar to authentic relating?
The circle has a simple and accessible structure focused on meditation and meaningful conversation. While it’s not an authentic relating event per se, some people may notice similarities in the way it creates space for presence, openness, and genuine connection.
* Do I need meditation experience?
Not at all. Beginners are very welcome. I’ll provide simple guidance to help you settle in.
* Do I have to speak during the circle?
No. Sharing is always optional. You’re welcome to simply listen and observe.
We do ask that what is shared in the circle stays in the circle, creating a space of trust.
* What should I bring?
Just come as you are. Comfortable everyday clothes are perfect.
To respect the shared silence, I'd ask that phones are turned off and put away during the circle.
* What if I’m running late?
To preserve the atmosphere of the circle, we'll start on time.
Please try to arrive 5–10 minutes early.

Prompt vs. Paintbrush
AI is changing how art is made. But when does it stop being your work and start being the machine’s?
This month we're going to be doing a panel with with digital image, music, and written word artists, talking about at what point, while using AI in the creation process, does the work become not the artist creation?
We encourage audience participation during this event that will be moderated by Chris Slee.
Whether you’re deep in the field or just getting curious, come connect with others building and exploring AI in Columbus.

CBusData: The Fellowship of the Star Schema: Transforming OLTP Data for Power BI
The Fellowship of the Star Schema: Transforming OLTP Data for Power BI
One does not simply build reports on OLTP data. Join us on an epic journey from the depths of raw, normalized tables to the shining halls of a well-modeled star schema fit for Power BI greatness. We will demystify the differences between OLTP and OLAP, walk through star schema vs snowflake (and why Power BI has a clear favorite), and show you the compression differences between normalized and columnar storage that will make you never look at an OLTP model the same way again.
We will cover the different types of dimensions, when to use them, and how to handle Slowly Changing Dimensions without losing your mind. You will leave knowing exactly how to identify a bad model, how to convert OLTP data into a clean star schema, and how to forge relationships that rule them all.
Whether you are a data wizard, a curious hobbit, or somewhere in between, your models will never be the same.

Step into a world where strategy meets artistry — and where every painted figure tells a story of battle, honor, and imagination. Join **Daclaud** at **The Arcane Foundry** for an evening that introduces newcomers and enthusiasts alike to the timeless craft of **tabletop wargaming** and **miniature painting**.
My own journey began with a fascination for fantasy — knights in armor, grim and hardened warriors, and monstrous creatures locked in epic battle. That passion led me to **Dungeons & Dragons**, where I painted my first **Basic Heroes set** and felt the spark that comes from bringing a character to life in miniature form. Not long after, I discovered **Warhammer Fantasy** and **Warhammer 40,000**, and I was hooked. The vision of vast armies clashing across the table — each unit meticulously painted, each story unfolding through dice and imagination — became my creative obsession.
During this event, we’ll explore the **origins of wargaming**, from its early military simulations to the richly detailed worlds of modern tabletop battle systems. You’ll learn how to **build and customize your own armies**, paint your first figures, and experience the joy of turning strategy and storytelling into a hands-on art form.
Whether you’re drawn by the lore, the hobby, or the thrill of commanding miniature legions, this introduction will open the gates to a world that has captivated hobbyists for generations.
**🎨 RSVP today and join us at The Arcane Foundry — where every brushstroke and battle tells a story.**

**Abstract**
GitHub Copilot is powerful, but what if you could scale from a solo AI assistant to an entire team of specialized agents working in parallel? This session introduces Squad: an open-source framework for multi-agent orchestration that lets you define teams of AI agents with specific roles, responsibilities, and expertise.
We'll progress from Copilot basics to the Copilot CLI, explore how Agents add autonomy, and see how Instructions and Skills let you customize agent behavior. Then, the climax: a live demo where a Squad team of 3 agents (Lead, Developer, Tester) stands up and builds a working application in real-time, showcasing true multi-agent collaboration.
Whether you're new to AI or exploring how to scale your use of Copilot, this session will show you what's possible when agents work as a team.
