**Life Drawing with Watercolour** Join us for a relaxed and creative life drawing session at Two Fellas Bar. On **Saturday, 18.04 from 17:00 to 19:00**, we’ll explore the human body through watercolour in a playful and expressive way. Working with both **short dynamic poses** and **longer, more detailed studies**, this session invites you to loosen up, observe, and experiment. We’ll focus on techniques such as **quick gesture sketches**, **wet-on-wet washes**, **layering**, and **expressive brush strokes** to capture movement, form, and atmosphere rather than perfect detail. Working on prepared clay tiles, you’ll use underglazes and carving tools to create layered designs by scratching through the surface to reveal the clay beneath. This session is perfect for beginners and anyone curious about surface decoration. You’ll explore line, pattern, and contrast while learning how this traditional technique can create bold, graphic results. This group is for everyone who is interested in drawing portraits! For me, drawing has been a wonderful way to gain a new perspective on the world and the people within it. Whether you are just starting out or have been drawing for ages — all levels are welcome :) How it works: 1\. We meet at The Castle pub in Mitte and do short sittings of 15 minutes for each other\. The first sitting is divided into 3 warm\-up sketches\, 5 minutes each\. 2\. Before we start\, everybody writes their name on a blank card \(provided by the organizer\); these cards are then used to randomly pick the model every 15 minutes\. 3\. Usually we do 8 sittings\, with a 15\-minute break in the middle \(so after 4 sittings\, or 1 hour\)\. -> The participation is free, but it is expected that everybody orders something from the bar to support the lovely location. Life-drawing on the first and third Saturday morning in the month held in my studio in the Rhinower Str 10. One hour of short poses ( the length of a song from an eclectic playlist) a 20 minute or so break while we look at the work and compare techniques and exchange tips on materials while drinking a well-earned tea or coffee with a freshly-baked muffin, then another hour of drawing. In the second half, for those who wish I also roll up a plate with ink to monoprint direct from the model. You will go home with a lot of drawings and prints, new ideas and some new techniques. We meet and sketch each other in Berlin. This is just an art gym that we also exercise our social skills. Afterwards usually we go for lunch as a group. **How Does It Work?** This event is simple, we meet and sketch each other doing portraits. Most of the participants use pencils or watercolors. Main aim is to socialize while we draw. There will be plenty of time to talk and get to know each other. We have to mention that this event is suitable for all levels.
