Friday night Brazilian zouk dance class followed by socialising, drinks and practice dance. A fun dance class 7.30-9 pm where you'll meet lots of first-time dancers and get to know everyone before dancing the night away and socialising. There is a discount for the beginner's class! No experience is required, and you don't need to bring a partner, as partners change regularly to enable everyone to get to know each other. Most people come by themselves and make new friends! After the class, the club night goes on till midnight with DJs and a bar. The venue is hired out exclusively for the people who come for dance classes and practice. We support the runners doing the London Marathon. It's a fun day out drumming. You can find us outside the Shadwell Centre. We meet at 9am to collect drums from the cars. The location on the cars will be shared with members. We then set up and stay in the same spot all day. You are welcome to come and go as you please. It's a good chance to improve or try a different drum.

That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing.
