Many good dancers, who are friendly and will happily dance with newcomers. Free tea and cakes are served at around 1.30 pm, The dancers are a mix of locals who many of whom have lived in Spitalfields for yonks, and visitors from other parts of London. The music is good, quicksteps are in abundance, and there's some, but not too much, sequence dancing. When I was there the crowd were friendly, all could dance and were easy and obliging when asked to dance to ask to dance. Several were very good dancers. The area was sheltered and tea and cakes were served efficiently, and with style in China cups, not styrophone. There are clean public loos within in the market. The stalls in the market are interesting and varied, Some good hat shops are there, and Tracey Ermine's shop is around the corner outside the market. Rabble - Fitness Through Games!
A Rabble session is 1 hour of fun and social team games. Each game disguises high-intensity intervals within the rules, giving you an effective, all-body workout without even realising it. We play a bunch of different games at each session (like British Bulldog, Capture the Flag, Dodgeball, Frisbee and many more), and every class is different. Sessions are open to all, no matter your sporting ability. Each game is explained before we start, so there's no need to have played any of the games before. Come solo or bring friends! And stay at the end for the social part! Pub Social & Live Talk: When Does Personality Rigidity Become a Disorder?
The London MBTI Meetup is back! Calling all those with an interest in personality, Jung's psychological types and the Myers-Briggs MBTI. Join us for a pub social and live talk in a lovely traditional pub venue. Expect interesting conversations on topics of shared interest. Whether you are new to type theory or a long time professional, all welcome, no particular knowledge or expertise required. Jungian Analyst-in-training and business consultant Nick Toko will give a live talk / presentation including some slides at around 7pm for 20 mins. The topic will be 'When Does Personality Rigidity Become a Disorder?' He will explore some of the differences between healthy adaptable personality and the more extreme and rigid presentations that might arise in a clinical setting. Myself (Richard: a professional coach with an MSc in business psychology and many personality assessment qualifications), will be there to welcome, host and introduce people. The venue is just 8 mins walk from Farringdon Station (multiple rail and tube lines) or 6 mins walk from Chancery Lane (Central Line). We will be in the upstairs room. I've set the time 6-10pm so people can come straight from work in London OR come along later after going home or travelling into London. No need to be there for the whole time. Please RSVP, and keep it up to date. Make the commitment to turn up, it will be fun!

Capital Ring Part 13 - Stoke Newington to Hackney Wick
Capital Ring Part 13 - Stoke Newington to Hackney Wick
We will be walking section 13 out of 15 of the Capital Ring walk. Starting from Stoke Newington station, we will walk through Springfield park and alongside the river Lea, before finishing at Hackney Wick train station. This section of the capital ring is one of the shorter sections and fairly level, we will be walking for approximately one and three quarter hours with a break in between. It can get muddy so bring suitable footwear and clothing if it looks like rain or has been raining. I'll keep a watch on the forecast and will cancel the event a day or two before if the weather is looking bad, so keep an eye on the event chat which I'll update a day or two before to confirm we are going ahead. We will meet just outside Stoke Newington station at 10:45. Unless there is a transport issue affecting everyone, we will aim to start off on the walk at 11am. I will add my location tracking on Glympse so if you are late, we will not wait but you will be able to catch us up. After the walk at Hackney Wick I am planning on heading to a local pub, the Lord Napier Star, for a drink and a bite to eat. The last time I came here they did a good Sunday Roast, if you are up for coming along please indicate in the comments. I'm estimating we would reach the end of the walk at Hackney Wick for about 12:30pm.
