Missing those easy chai conversations from back home? This is a casual meetup for Indians in London (20s–30s) to connect, chat, and unwind.
We’ll grab chai/coffee and just have relaxed conversations — no agenda, no pressure. Whether you’re new to London or have been here a while, come meet like-minded people and build your circle.
Keeping it small so everyone actually gets to talk.
🍃East Asians & Friends Gathering @Mercato Metropolitano
Hey LEAF (London East Asians & Friends) fam! Time for our monthly Night LEAF, where we get together at a pub for an evening of drinks, laughs, and good vibes with fellow East Asians and friends in London.
**Who's welcome?**
LEAF is a community for people with strong ties to East Asia, whether that's through heritage, having grown up or lived extensively in an East Asian country, or being a friend or family member of someone who has. All genders, ages, and sexualities welcome.
**First time?**
Don't stress! We're a friendly bunch. Look for the group with East Asian faces in our reserved area and just come say hi. Grab one of the organisers and we'll introduce you to people. Come whenever you can, no need to be on time!
💡 Night LEAF is our regular monthly pub meetup. During the summer months, we also run picnic gatherings in London's parks, so keep an eye out for those too!
See you there! 🍺
🌲 Korean & Japanese Culture woodland hike 🌸
Together, we’ll explore Stanmore Country Park, embracing Shinrin-yoku (森林浴), the Japanese idea of 'forest bathing' to de-stress and reconnect with nature. 🌿
Feel free to practice speaking Korean or Japanese as we walk.
Enjoy seasonal bluebells and stunning views across London.
**Schedule & Meeting Point**
🌸2:30 PM: We'll meet at Caffé Nero, Stanmore (8 min walk from Stanmore Station).
Feel free to get a drink, we'll wait until 3PM for everyone to arrive.
🌸3:00 PM: We'll start walking towards, then into the woods, where we'll pass streams and bluebells along the way. Keep an eye out for wild deer. 🦌
We'll stop at a panoramic view point, and rest for a while before continuing.
Afterwards we'll return to Stanmore station, where you can either leave, or join the rest of us for a bus ride to Bang Bang Oriental Food Court in Colindale, we'll enjoy some great food, then go to a nearby pub.
🥾 Hike Difficulty: Moderate
*Expect hilly areas and uneven paths, not a flat paved walk.
- Depending on recent weather, some paths may be a bit muddy - please wear appropriate footwear.
🏵 Final note:
Stanmore is at the end of the Jubilee Line, I know it's far for some people. I hope you'll join us for this unique event, and connect with nature.
This event is for those with a genuine interest in Korean and Japanese culture.
Bang Bang Asian Food Court Gathering
Join us for a fun evening socialising with great food at Bang Bang Oriental Foodhall in Colindale.
The food court has stalls covering most East and Southeast Asian cuisines, plus a bar for drinks.
**How to Find Us:**
Look out for a sign that says 'meetup' on our table.
I'll also leave a comment here when we arrive.
Feel free to order some food or drink, and join us.
Some of us will be coming from a hiking event in the afternoon.
We'll probably arrive around 6:30, but I said 7 just in case we're running a bit late
**Afterwards**
Around 9:00 PM, we'll head to a pub nearby, where we can continue chatting
Looking forward to seeing you there!

A Conversation on Grief : Belonging, Identity, and Loss After Religion
You are invited to this joint event of Association of Black Humanists and Unruly Beauty.
**Overview**
Can a life without traditional religious meaning still feel sacred or whole?
Grief is often associated with the loss of a person, but many of us carry quieter, less recognised forms of grief. This workshop creates space to explore the grief that can arise after losing a community, a shared purpose, or a spiritual framework, especially in the aftermath of leaving a religious tradition or belief system.
Together, we will gently examine what it means to grieve not only *what was*, but also *what was promised*: belonging, certainty, identity, and a sense of divine connection. Participants are invited to reflect on how loss of faith or religious community can affect meaning-making, relationships, and one’s inner life, often in ways that are invisible or misunderstood by others.
You do not need to identify as spiritual or religious to attend.
This space honours doubt, curiosity, longing, anger, relief, and hope, (without pushing answers or beliefs). This is not about fixing grief, it is about witnessing loss, honouring transition, and making room for new forms of connection, within yourself and with others.
Whether you are newly navigating life after religion or years into rebuilding your sense of self, you are welcome here.
All Unruly Beauty events are open to ALL BODIES and ALL IDENTITIES! We affirm the inherent worth and dignity of every person, and are committed to cultivating a space that is inclusive, affirming, and psychologically safe for all.
