But they need to be prudent: if anyone finds out that they’re magical, it’ll be big trouble for the kitties. Our free-of-charge meet-up in the Black Sheep Pub on Capel Street. This is a casual meet up for people who want to play boardgames. Lots of people bring plenty of games and rules will always be explained so don't worry if you're new to the hobby and you don't have anything to bring along or think you won't know how to play. Hi all, I’m kicking off our movie viewing for 2026 with the green jersey on in support of two of our best actors, Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley, with the screening of Hamnet which looks set to be nominated for some, if not many Oscars. Please join me this ***Sunday, January 11th at 2.50pm*** for the screening of ***Hamnet.*** Northern Irish novelist Maggie O‘Farrell’s Hamnet (2020) managed to captivate not just the many awards juries who bequeathed garlands upon it, but also a wide general readership. This beautiful, moving adaptation, created in collaboration with Oscar-winning director Chloé Zhao (Nomadland, 2020), is sure to meet with a similar response. Agnes (Jessie Buckley) encounters and is wooed by fledgling playwright William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal). While William plies his trade in London, Agnes remains in Stratford to look after their children, keeping a particularly watchful eye on sickly Judith (Olivia Lynes). However, it is her twin brother Hamnet (Jacobi Jupe) who is unexpectedly taken by the plague, leaving the parents unspeakably bereft. While Mescal provides exemplary support, the film belongs to Buckley and her astonishing performance as the free spirit transmuted into a raw nerve, grieving while her husband mourns. Screening is taking place in screen one. Only four tickets sold as of Monday pm but I would recommend booking in advance just to be sure. We at Freesalsa Ireland believe in growing the community, something our friend DJ Leo also believes in. The club has grown beyond the single mission of providing members with not only quality skiing events but also year round social and sport activities.
