What we're about
The Kegs Softball Club is one of Dublin's oldest and longest standing co-ed softball clubs with three different teams (The Kegs, Chuggers, and Brewers) competing at various levels in the Softball Leinster leagues including a developmental team for brand new players. But we're not only here to compete. We're also here to have fun and build relationships. We're also more than happy for people who are new to the sport to come and learn! It's an easy way to get some exercise and a great way to meet new people. We hope you'll join us for one of our upcoming events!

We'll be playing two 1-hour scrimmage games versus our friends, the Ashbourne Antlers & Ashbourne Comets, at their amazing baseball/softball grounds at the International Baseball Centre in Co. Meath. We'll have all the bats, balls, and gloves so all you need to bring is a pair of spiked boots (football boots are fine) or runners if you don't have boots. They have on-site bathroom facilities and they'll even have the concession stand open selling hot dogs and other goodies. We'll also be coordinating carpools from Dublin city centre and bus 103 also goes straight to the International Baseball Centre picking up from Beresford Place on the Liffey.

The Hippetys Softball Club are hosting their first annual Quadrangular, a pickup coed softball tournament of four teams made up of individual players who register and will be chosen at random to play for one of the four teams. The tournament will be played in Phoenix Park on April 1st and the cost to register is €10. Should be good craic, with music and prizes, and they're also arranging a venue for some drinks afterwards. Did you know there are roughly 30 teams and 400+ adults playing coed softball in and around Dublin? The season runs from late April through August with games being played all over Dublin on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights depending on the level of competition, as well as some Saturday blitz tournaments throughout the season, some of which are played to raise money for local Irish charities. If you're interested in playing coed softball this season you can go to softballleinster.ie or signup to play at softballleinster.ie/contact and one of the local teams will reach out. Softball Leinster welcomes players of all ages, genders, and abilities.
