Disney Lorcana Tournament Friday

Welcome to our **Disney Lorcana** Constructed Tournament. The tournament will be in Swiss format, with prizing distributed to players with a positive record. To participate in the event, alongside your **ticket purchase [here](https://www.thebrotherhoodgames.co.uk/disney-lorcana-events)**, you will need to register to Playhub. If you are unfamiliar, please ask our member of staff upon arrival to the store where a member of staff will be happy to assist.
As an added bonus you will be automatically entered in our Brotherhood League system which runs quarterly. Players will have an opportunity to gain points for attendance and winning games with prizes awarded to the top 16 players on the leaderboard, a special tournament will be held at the end of the league season. WRITE CLUB: one hour of silent writing (or reading) in the company of others
The first rule of WRITE CLUB is that you do not talk ***during*** WRITE CLUB.
This very simple meetup is based on the premise that public and peer accountability enables more productive writing than sitting at home and getting distracted by the fridge.

Free Human Towers Rehearsal + Social (Sunday)
Sunday rehearsal with Castellers of London. Meet us at the OBC Community Centre to help build human towers!
This get together is a great opportunity for you to meet new friends, socialise and have a go and explore your abilities as a human tower builder a.k.a Casteller!
For newcomers we have a team of trained Castellers who will introduce you to the group, guide you through the activity and help you safely take part in this unique Catalan tradition.
When you arrive just approach us as we are really friendly! If in doubt ask for Cuss! Please let us know if you are bringing guests.
After the rehearsal we go to a nearby pub for social drinks where everyone is welcome :)
What do you need?
1. Ideally a cotton shirt: to protect your neck and shoulders, the more durable the shirt/top the better. We do not recommend any thin items of clothing!
2. Jeans: allowing you to move freely without breaking.
3. Mask: We still require the use of a mask as you will be very close to your fellow Castellers - basically you will be hugging people!
The rest of the equipment is on us!
We take health and safety very seriously, both in relation to COVID-19 and also the activity- please be assured that the safety of all participants is of the utmost importance to us and we take all necessary precautions to minimize the risk, ensuring we all have a great time!
Our regular members won't be filling in the Meet Up to say they are going ๐
So don't be put off if you see only a handful have said they are going.
A minimum of 25 on the day is normal. What the Meet Up may show is how many new people like yourself are going.

A monthly, in-person session where we gather to examine the weekโs biggest headlines โ scrutinising sources, narratives, and editorial decisions as unofficial editors of an open-source newsroom.
**THE CONCEPT**
Inspired by *the open-source newsroom model*, this **meetup** brings that spirit into real life. We create a space for honest, constructive analysis of how the news is covered and how the cycle impacts our interests.
**WHO ITโS FOR**
Originally built for journalists, itโs open to everyone. Media professionals, researchers, students, and curious members of the public โ all perspectives are welcome.
No credentials needed โ just a critical eye.
**WHAT WE DO**
Each session, participants step into the role of FI editors and journalists. Together, we examine real headlines, using the FI platform live to improve news literacy and encourage civil, collaborative discussion in a non-judgemental environment.
**BEFORE ATTENDING;**
Before attending, we ask participants to review the monthly news cycle and come prepared with 3โ4 editorial observations. These can include red flags (e.g. bias, weak sourcing, misleading framing) or green flags (e.g. strong evidence, balanced reporting, transparency) to discuss with the group.

This hike takes you from the historic town of Arundel, with its imposing castle and serene riverside, through Littlehamptonโs picturesque seafront, and finally to the seaside. Starting in Arundel, the route meanders along the River Arun, offering views of rolling hills and ancient woodland. As you reach Littlehampton, the coast unveils itself with golden sands and a welcoming promenadeโan ideal spot for a quick rest or a bite to eat.
