Walking along the Malvern Hills
Our Spring break is to the very scenic Malvern Hills, one of best walking regions in England. Due to flatness of surrounding lands, there are superb views from the ridge walk as far as the Cotswolds and Wales. We have exclusive hire of private hostel in landscaped parkland.
On Friday we plan an easy walk to the East Hill for views as far as Shropshire. Walk continues to local pub for evening meal.
On Saturday we plan a 9-mile linear walk along the Malvern Hills. A gentle ascent is followed by a magnificent ridge walk reaching each summit on route. Due to the mainly level ridge terrain the walk is considerably easier than in other regions. We first ascend to British Camp, an Iron Age Hill Fort with great views south. The main hill is Worcester Beacon with views to all directions. Our picnic lunch will take place at one of the summits.
In the evening, we are arranging a group meal at the hostel with musical entertainment afterwards.
On Sunday we will explore Great Malvern Town and its Spa Town architecture. The 12th century Benedictine Priory still has the grand Priory church at its centre with some of the finest medieval stained glass in England. The town has many fine high Victorian Spa hotels and theatres created for the fashionable Spa town tourist industry.
We can walk to St Anns Wells to enjoy the Malvern waters, and see the Morgan Car factory where the unique vehicles are still hand made today. We plan to follow Elgar to take tea at one of the charming tea rooms where he composed much of his music.
Refreshments: Breakfasts both days and Saturday evening meal provided. Many facilities in Great Malvern town. Packed lunch required for Saturday, lots of shops at start of walk.
Travel: Direct trains from Paddington to Great Malvern.
Cost of event is £70 for 2 nights in rooms at hostel. Includes guided walks each day and breakfasts both days. Plus Group Meal on Saturday.. £10 membership just required for now ( group membership for 12 months giving all day walks free).

Reconnecting to Sacred Nature
“Reconnecting to sacred nature” is a retreat running at **Hilfield Friary on Friday 24th** (from 12pm) **to Sunday 26th (3pm) April 2026** geared at those of different spiritual traditions and none enquiring into the sacredness of nature in the midst of the ecological crisis.
The retreat has five aims:
* To help participants develop a deeper connection to and love for the beauty, awe and sacredness of nature.
* To honestly face the environmental crisis with hope, courage and a sense of personal agency.
* Draw on different world spiritual traditions to inspire, challenge and guide our response.
* Become part of a wider movement for positive, regenerative change in our society
* Learn to know, honour and protect mother earth, allowing all life to flourish.
The retreat will immerse participants in the beauty of creation in the Dorset countryside – slowing us down to nature's pace. Providing time for reflection, meditation and stillness inspired by nature. It will draw upon the philosophies and writings of different world spiritual traditions, the principles of Joanna Macy’s book “Active Hope”, as well as earth sciences and evolutionary biology.
Feedback from past retreatants has been very powerful:
*"That was an amazing weekend - much more than anyone could have planned or imagined...It's about increasing our awareness of the awe of nature and how we can see the divine in it."* **Chris Bemrose**
*“A massive thanks for the weekend. It really was a healing experience. Rediscovering the awe and wonder of nature.”* **Anne Watson**
The retreat will be led by facilitators from Soul Rewilding ([https://www.soulrewilding.co.uk/](https://www.soulrewilding.co.uk/)) a not-for-profit collective founded in response to the climate and ecological crisis the earth faces.
Soul Rewilding believes the environmental crisis is at heart a spiritual crisis and that we need to relearn a new humility and spirituality that reconnects us to the sacredness of the earth and all other than human life.
The cost per person for three days and two nights and all meals is £280. To secure your booking a £100 deposit (non-refundable) is required at the time of booking. To book a place on the retreat please contact Mike Mullins at [mikemullins@soulrewilding.co.uk](mailto:mikemullins@soulrewilding.co.uk).

Get ready to step into the fifth dimension with Lucy Dreams, a visionary trio from Vienna who have pioneered their very own genre: "SonicWaveArtPop". Blending analog instrumentation with digital art, the band features two human members, Zero and One, alongside a third, active artificial member named Lucy.
I saw these guys at the Great Escape last year and after seeing about 30 bands, Lucy Dreams was my fave! The combination of dreamy pop and live act with Lucy is something quite memorable!
Fresh off winning the XA Music Award and touring the globe, they are bringing an immersive, otherworldly audiovisual experience to London to unveil their brilliant new concept LP, *VVVVV*. Prepare for an atmospheric live show that sits right at the intersection of dreampop, electronica, and synthwave—often described by critics as “Tame Impala in Blade Runner mode.”
Setting the stage for this futuristic journey are support act Angel B Valentine who will be bringing fresh, complementary energy to start the night off right and perfectly round out this stacked bill.

ESCAPE TO THE SOUTH BANK
For many years there has been a campaign to get a stretch of the South Bank designated as an official 'Sculpture Park'. It's no wonder. The stroll between St Thomas's Hospital and the National Theatre alone has some 17 notable sculptures/artworks.
From the 1682 stone statue of King Edward VI to the imposing 2016 figure of Mary Seacole (pictured), striding off in front of a huge disc hewn from Crimean rock.
Some of the sights might be familiar (Nelson Mandela at the Royal Festival Hall) but many are off the beaten track and deserve more attention.
So I hope you can join me on this fascinating stroll through London's public art history.
The cost as usual is £10.00 CASH payable on the day.
Any enquiries to me, David N, on 07990 593 365
Walk will start on the County Hall side of Westminster Bridge. Nearest tube is Westminster.
London daytime testing at Waterloo
We playtest all sorts of games - strategic, silly, creative, or whatever. Some games are almost done. Some are very early ideas. We test anything that will fit into 90 minutes.
You don't need to bring a game - we always love to have new playtesters!
Please let us know in the comments when you plan to arrive/leave and whether you are bringing a game or not. This helps us to plan the day better.
The schedule is:
10am onwards - gathering, chatting
11am sharp - playing for 90 min ('slot 1')
12:30ish - break for food/chat
1pm sharp - playing for 90 min ('slot 2')
2:30ish - break for food/chat
3pm sharp - playing for 90 min ('slot 3')
4:30ish - finish up
Often, we might hang around afterwards, to play some already-published games.
We are strict on timings, so please try to arrive a few minutes before the session to limit disruption.
You can just come for part of the day if you wish. The reason we have fixed timings for the 3 'slots' is to make it easier for folk to do so.
Designers of all levels of experience are welcome! But if it's your first time, we ask that you don't bring a game and just spend some time learning how the group works.
The group works based on reciprocation. If you expect to test your own game, make sure stay for long enough to play other games. As a general rule of thumb, you can expect to play one of your own games every third 90-minute session. So if you stay a whole day (3 sessions), you can expect to have one session to play your game(s). A good rule of thumb is that if you come all day, you will have one 90 minute session with two other playtesters in which to test your own games. It is sometimes possible to test games with more players. If your game requires 4 or more, please note that as standard you will be allocated half of a session (45 minutes).
Pre-covid, we were getting unmanageable. As a result, we may have to limit attendees. This is a free-to-use venue, and we have to be mindful that other folk want to use the same space.
Please note: This is an adults only event.
We look forward to seeing you!

[TICKETS](https://fatso.ma/3pye)
Inspired by the serene, flowing atmosphere, this shoot explores movement, light, and natural textures in a calm yet expressive creative environment. The concept blends dance, fashion, and storytelling - creating visuals that feel like stepping into a dreamlike oasis hidden inside the city. ✨
Flowing fabrics, wooden textures, and soft natural light come together to create an illusion-like world where models move freely, fabrics drift through the air, and photographers capture those fleeting in-between moments.
This shoot invites dancers, yogis, and movement artists to guide models through simple, fluid motions and poses, helping everyone explore natural body movement, fabric flow, and expressive energy. Through gentle movement, breath, and rhythm, participants will discover new ways to pose and create organic, graceful imagery that captures motion in a soft and dreamlike way. ✨

Think:

The Story So Far: A WiA Reflection Circle
A WiA Collective Wisdom Exchange
At the start of this year, we gathered to look back, set intentions, and imagine the next chapter.
This is the follow-up.
Not a check-in. Not a progress report. A small, facilitated circle to reconnect with what you said mattered — and honestly explore what’s actually happening now.
Together, we’ll explore:
• What you intended at the start of this year - and what that looks like three months in
• What’s surprised you, supported you, or shifted
• What the next chapter needs now that you know what you know
If you were at our January gathering, bring whatever you made or wrote — your word, your artifact, your intention. We’ll look at it with fresh eyes. If this is your first time, you belong here too. You’ll start where we all started: with what’s true right now.
Optional art materials will be available for anyone who wants to reflect creatively alongside conversation. If you brought something home from January, you’re warmly invited to bring it back.
The intention is the same as always: everyone leaves feeling more clear, more connected, and a little lighter.
Space is intentionally limited to keep the experience intimate.
What to Expect
• A small, welcoming circle (not a large meetup)
• Structured conversation so everyone has space to speak
• Reflection, listening, and lived experience — not advice-giving
• Optional creative reflection alongside conversation
• A calm, supportive environment
Who This Is For
Women and underrepresented folks working in or around agile, product, technology, leadership, or organizational change — especially those looking for honest conversation and community beyond frameworks and buzzwords.
Good to Know
• No preparation required
• If you attended in January, we invite you to bring anything you created or wrote (or something that represents your intention at the start of the year) - it’s optional but invited
• Participation is invitational; listening is always welcome
• Creative activities are optional
