About Our Backgammon Group Our group started in June 2015 and has now run more than 400 official meetups plus over 200 informal gatherings. With nearly 2,200 members, we’re the largest backgammon group in the UK, and we're known for our warmth, humour and friendliness. Join us for an adventure in the beauty of the Kent countryside on this hilly yet rewarding 15-mile circular hike starting in the charming village of Eynsford. This route offers a mix of rolling hills, scenic valleys, and historic landmarks, perfect for nature enthusiasts and hiking adventurers alike. We’ll set off from Eynsford train station, heading through the picturesque Darent Valley, passing highlights like Eynsford Castle, Lullingstone Roman Villa, and the tranquil Lullingstone Country Park. The hike will include a series of ascents and descents, providing panoramic views of the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This trail combines open fields, dense woodlands, and quiet country lanes, offering diverse scenery throughout. A midway lunch break will give us time to recharge and soak in the stunning surroundings before continuing the loop back to Eynsford. Bring sturdy hiking boots, snacks, and plenty of water for this moderately strenuous hike. It’s a great opportunity to connect with fellow walkers while enjoying one of Kent’s most beautiful areas! This is a quite a hilly walk with some steep hills, so not suitable for beginner hikers. As the group size will be limited to 60 please only rsvp if you definitely plan to attend.
