Fun Social Monday Evening Run in Islands Brygge
Come join us for a trail social run, jog, walk in Islands Brygge
We are not a typical running club, so please read about the concept in “about us”.
How it works: we don’t know in advance where the trail will go, but we know it will be fun! A member of the club, the 'hare', sets a trail, usually marked with flour. The rest of us, the 'pack', follows the hare's 'scent', i.e., the marks. There will be a 8-10 km trail for runners with shortcuts down to 5-6 km for walkers and those who need a slower pace. We have no set pace - run/walk as slow or as fast as you'd like. After the run we enjoy some refreshments and socialize.
Come a few minutes before the start so that you can say hi and leave your bag in a designated bag car before we set off at 18:30.
Don’t worry if there are few registrations on Meetup. We have existed for 44 years, and a lot of our members (anywhere from 20 to 50 people) just show up.
Four-legged friends are welcome!
We never cancel.
See you there!
Stay in touch - we are going local!
**We will continue our sitting group but we are closing this Meetup account to favour local and in-person information channels. If you are not in our newsletter, then write to Bixi@birgittegorm.com to keep up with new events. We hope to have the website Myoin.dk up and running this summer, until then please keep in touch by writing an old-school personal email.**

At Intel, we lead the charge in innovation, with hardware roadmaps envisioned far in advance. Our mission extends to the web platform, ensuring it harnesses new hardware capabilities promptly. From enabling novel form factors to leveraging hardware accelerators, we’re committed to advancing the web experience.
AI is all the rage today, initially centered around data centers and native apps. Now AI workloads are moving closer to the user, being able to run locally on our devices, ensuring better performance and privacy. In order to truly unlock the potential of AI, it needs to be available everywhere, which is our mission at Intel.
With Intel’s leadership, AI is coming to the browser through APIs like Web Neural Network, Web GPU and more. Discover our cutting-edge innovations and their impact on your web experiences in this talk.

A brief overview of AI Engineering its history, background, and purpose. This is followed by a short walkthrough of one of our solutions, Adverse Media Search, including how we went from proof of concept (PoC) to production, what the solution is, and why we chose to build our own instead of using one of the commercial alternatives.

Workshop Masterclass - “Stop Talking. Start Writing: From Anecdote to Arc”
Why do some stories stay with us, while others fall flat?
Often, it is because we tell them from the outside in. We describe what happened, but lose the deeper transformation that makes people care.
On Wednesday, June 10, at 18:00, we are hosting an interactive storytelling workshop at Kulturstationen Vanløse with Andreas Møgelhøj, Ph.D.
Andreas has strong contest experience in both Evaluation and Table Topics, including repeated District Champion!
In this 2-hour, hands-on workshop, we will move beyond storytelling theory and actively build the narrative spine of our own stories.
You will work on:
✨ Finding your “Plot B” — the inner journey behind the outer events
✨ Identifying your “5-second moment” — the exact point of change
✨ Extracting “the gift” — the message your audience will remember
✨ Turning a rough idea into a story arc through fast writing sprints
Important for everyone attending:
👉 Please come prepared with a story you want to work on.
It does not need to be polished. It can be a rough idea, a personal experience, a draft speech, or a project you want to improve. The key is that you bring something specific, because we will be working directly on your own stories throughout the workshop.
The goal is simple: that everyone leaves with a solid foundation for delivering a powerful “story speech” in the future.
Bring your laptop, bring your story, and come ready to write.
The world doesn’t care if you fail. It cares if you change.
🙋 Stop talking. Start writing. Show up. Bring your Story.
🗓️ Wednesday, June 10, at 18:00

Microsoft Build - Columbus Edition!
We are bringing Microsoft Build sessions to Columbus Ohio!
The Central Ohio Azure Meetup and Central Ohio .NET Developer's Group (CONDG) are coming together to bring some of the labs and breakouts from Microsoft Build to your backyard. In this free, 1 day event, you are going to Build stuff with us!
And yes, there will be free food. So please RSVP for a head count!
Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Whether you've never done improv before, or you've done it for so long you were quoted in *Truth in Comedy*, or anywhere in between, come join us! Swing by *Gresso's* for the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**!
The idea behind improvised comedy is to create entire scenes from scratch. A suggestion is taken from the audience and laughter is built on the spot. This can be done in game form, like *Whose Line Is It Anyway, Make Some Noise,* or *Wild 'n Out*; it can also be done in a longer way, to tell a complicated story, like *TJ & Dave*.
Our meetup, which is central Ohio's longest running (and FREE!) weekly comedy event, brings the games for you to play in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment. Afterward, many members will hang out in *Gresso's* itself and get to know each other. Not only is this a lot of fun, but you get to work on thinking faster on your feet, your public speaking, plus it's an excellent way to meet new people and build relationships that will last a lifetime, and you do that while laughing your butt off!
Ask yourself if you want to join the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**, and say "*Yes, And*" that you'll have a blast!
Customize the IDE: Building Extensions for Visual Studio Code - Alan Barber
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you.
The building address is 4450 Bridge Park
The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400
You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge.
**Abstract**
*Customize the IDE: Building Extensions for Visual Studio Code*
Visual Studio Code is one of the most widely used development environments today, and much of its flexibility comes from its extension ecosystem. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs.
In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling.
The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure. We’ll close with a brief overview of how extensions are packaged and published to the Visual Studio Marketplace and other distribution options.
