Knowing Who You Can Trust
Knowing Who You Can Trust
Your survival depends on knowing who you can rely on. But how can you tell who your real friends are? How can you determine if a person will help make a joint venture successful? Is there a way to predict behavior? Yes. There are fundamental elements to human behavior. When you know them you have insight into your fellow man, and just by observing how people act, you will know *everything* about them. #### On this lecture you will learn: * The important role of trust in human relationships. * The Hubbard Chart of Human Evaluation—the tool to know true character and predict what people will do. * How to evaluate others accurately and guarantee a more certain future for yourself and those you care about. With the knowledge you learn on this course, you will have tools to know who you can trust and who you can depend on. *“Trustworthiness is a highly esteemed commodity. When one has it, one is considered valuable. When one has lost it, one may be considered worthless.”* *—L. Ron Hubbard*
Marylebone Herstory Twix Christmas & New Year Walk
Marylebone Herstory Twix Christmas & New Year Walk
**The village of Marylebone is one of London’s most underrated gems.** With its elegant streets, hidden courtyards and quiet charm, it often feels like a little corner of Paris — and that’s no coincidence. In 1801, this neighbourhood became home to scores of French refugees escaping the guillotine. On this walk we wander through the heart of *Mary-le-bone*, tracing the course of the hidden Tyburn River and meeting remarkable women who defied expectations — including Britain’s first woman surgeon and a love story that inspired a wealth of beautiful poetry. We’ll slip through narrow passages, uncover tucked-away corners, and soak up the unmistakable village feel that makes Marylebone so special. **Where we meet:** Across the road from Baker Street Tube, outside **The Globe** pub on the corner of Baker Street and Marylebone Road — opposite Madame Tussauds with its gold-domed roof. **Where we finish:** Marble Arch Tube An optional finish in a nearby cafe for those who want to talk and mingle. **Tickets:** £10 per person cash on the day at start of tour Electronic payments on: https://flockless-but-free.square.site/s/shop **Practical bits:** Please arrive on time — once the tour begins I can’t answer calls or messages as it isn’t fair on the group. Most of my walks are 3–4 miles, so a moderate level of fitness is useful. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a waterproof; this is the UK, after all, and dry weather can never be guaranteed. **What3Words meeting point:** **drives.pack.noises**

Woodlands of Box Hill - Saturday 3 January
Woodlands of Box Hill - Saturday 3 January
Join us as we walk across the fields and forests of glorious Box Hill in Surrey. Located at the edge of the North Downs escarpment, where chalk gives way to greensand, views from here stretch across much of the south of England. Named after its evergreen box trees, the hill is home to the largest native woodland of its type anywhere in the country. A noted beauty spot for generations, its scenery has been an inspiration to writers such as G. K. Chesterton and Jane Austen. Our route will take us by impressive chalk slopes cut by the River Mole and then the hill itself. We will walk along the scarp face and beyond this make our way across fields and extensive woodlands. **Meeting place**: London Victoria Train Station - near Oliver Bonas (No. 53), not far from platforms 10 and 11). Please see the following link for the station map: [London Victoria Station Map - Aug 24](https://www.networkrail.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/London-Victoria-Station-Map.pdf) **Meeting time**: 10.00 am (leaving on 10.41 train) **Price**: £5. London-Dorking rail fare is £10.53 return when using a railcard or Group Save (you can team up for a minimum of three people for this on the day.) **Distance**: 16 kms/10 miles **Hike level**: easy to medium (you need to be reasonably fit to participate in this activity) **Estimated return time to London**: 7PM (please commit yourself for a full day) **Things to bring**: water - at least 1 litre, packed lunch, waterproof clothing, hiking boots.

Our meetups always have a friendly atmosphere. There's usually a mix of new people and regulars who will make you feel welcome. We're usually at a table towards the back of the cafe. Let's share laughs and memories together!
