Q:主办方提供餐饮及住宿吗?Does the organizer provide meals and accommodations?
A:提供7个工作餐(包括周五晚),一件活动T恤,住宿请自行解决。
We provide seven meals (including Friday dinner) per person in total and one event T-shirt. Unfortunately we are not able to provide accommodations at this point.
Q:活动语言是什么?What's the language being used at the event?
A:以中文为主、英文为辅,但您无需过于担心语言问题。
Chinese and English. Chinese will be the first language but we will provide English translation in core section. You don't have to worry too much about language disparities.
Q:参加的都是些什么人?Who are going to the event?
A:想创业的人,有做技术的,也有做设计、市场或其它的,各类Geek,对互联网有兴趣的人。
Anyone who is interested in Internet and startup, all types of geek, and in backgrounds of developing, designing, marketing, makers or related.
Q:参加活动必须有创业点子吗?Do we have to have an idea ready in order to participate?
A:能提前准备好idea当然最好,没有的话加入别人的团队也行。
Having an idea prepared would be the best scenario. But it’s OK to not have one on hand and join other teams.
Q:我们已经有成型的团队和产品了还可以参加吗?We have existing teams and products, can we still participate?
A:只能以个人名义,不可以带着项目参与,这对其他参与者不公平。本活动旨在创造产品而非宣传现有产品。
Everyone should participate as individuals. The event is exclusively aiming for making products, not promoting them.
Q:活动中组建的团队在活动结束后还存在吗?Will the teams stay together after the event?
A:这取决于你和你的团队。
some will dismiss, others will register companies and get funded, entirely depending on you and your team. Recently the successful case of upgrading into a company after the event is MYOtee (has received thousands of funds in RMB and won the first place at App Store), and SixBot (A wearable devices good for men’s health).
Q:我的创业点子需符合什么类型?What characteristics my idea has to fit?
A:除了专题版创业沙拉以外,我们都不拒绝任何类型的idea,只要你想来验证你的点子,或者来让更多人了解到你,都可以来体验。
Since this event is specifically hosted for maker, related to maker is fine.
Q:比如说有哪些点子?For example?
A:网站类如服饰搭配、本地导游、家族谱;手机应用类如NFC折扣券、口语翻译、O2O、HTML5等,硬件如VR眼镜、BB-8、盲人手杖、自行车GPS智能导航工具等;还有更多与绿色环保、游戏、高科技等类型。
Making something is awesome for human to use! Any making idea is warm welcome! Brainstorm now, and make it happened with us! Websites like cloth-matching, local guide, family tree, mobile applications like NFC coupons, menu translation, longevity aid and the like.
Q:具体要做出什么东西?What products should we be making?
A:最后路演的成果包括:Demo(产品样品,比如你要做定制化蛋糕,那你就要做出一个蛋糕来展示),结合PPT,内容需包括商业模式、市场调研和产品介绍等。
The best scenario would be code-compiled prototypes (even it's simple), in combination of PPT that includes your business model and market research.

Looking for a space to chat about all things anime and manga with fellow fans? This is the event for you! All levels of interest welcome.
For our first event, we invite you to share your personal “big 3” anime! The term originally refers to One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach as they were the juggernauts of the global anime scene in the 2000s. However, we want to hear your opinions! What are your top three series?

The exhibition is organised by Academy of Visual Arts (AVA), the School of Creative Arts (SCA), and the Centre for Innovative Service-Learning at Hong Kong Baptist University. Curated by 18 undergraduate students from the course of Curatorial practice (VART4126) at AVA and in collaboration with HART HAUS and The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon, the exhibition features the creative practices of 10 artists and students. The showcased works derive from intimate dialogues between the creators and their family members, capturing profound emotions that often remain unspoken in the rhythm of daily life.
Together, AVA students also initiated several collaborative workshops in March and at the opening on 18 April, that led to creating an interactive artwork together with children from the age of 5 to 12 and their family as well as the public, that further integrates the essence of "Home" into the community, fostering a deeper connection between art and society.
Home is never merely a unit defined by physical boundaries. It is a web woven from people and objects, memory and routine, intimacy and friction. The distance that truly matters is the closeness between hearts. The heartbeat defies the world's measure of distance. When it races, it becomes longing; when it stills, it finds peace. Even when it stops, the connection remains—transformed into a new rhythm that lives within our memory, our bodies, and our very identity. Geography and mortality may pull us apart, but the heartbeat remains the ultimate proof of presence. This exhibition explores a concept of home that transcends physical space, viewing it as an active psychological vessel rather than a mere subject. It holds memories, unconditional support, and complex contradictions, forming a sense of belonging that is rewritten over time. Here, the audience encounters not a singular definition, but a collection of personal responses to home as the emotional and existential origin of the artists' lives. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.

**OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING** happens before and after the writing hour. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.
**BEING LATE IS OKAY:** just show up and get settled! If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.

* **COVID:** While masks are not required, please be mindful of the other writers around you and their comfort levels.

Powell Gold Star Referral Club Meetup
We meet at lunch each week and each meeting follows a fairly organized agenda. First all participants pass their business cards around. Then each member and guest is invited to give a one-minute overview of their company and what is a perfect referral for the week. We always have a 10 minute presentation from one of the members about their business in more detail. And finally we pass referrals. You're welcome to visit. Nobody is ever put on the spot. GitHub Copilot is powerful, but what if you could scale from a solo AI assistant to an entire team of specialized agents working in parallel? This session introduces Squad: an open-source framework for multi-agent orchestration that lets you define teams of AI agents with specific roles, responsibilities, and expertise.
We'll progress from Copilot basics to the Copilot CLI, explore how Agents add autonomy, and see how Instructions and Skills let you customize agent behavior. Then, the climax: a live demo where a Squad team of 3 agents (Lead, Developer, Tester) stands up and builds a working application in real-time, showcasing true multi-agent collaboration.

Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington.
The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo.
Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine.
We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you.
The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly.
Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome.
The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit.
Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times.
