We rotate partners when exercises allow it, so everyone gets a chance to practice and connect. ***FAQ*** **I am in the waiting list. Should I still come to the class?** We try to keep the classes as balanced as possible, so if we notice we are getting too many leaders/followers we move people around to waitlist. Sadly not everyone who signed up attends the class, so you can always still show up and see if there is a shortage of leaders/followers. **Want to increase your odds to get a spot for the class?** Then we highly suggest to come with a partner (leader+follower), as we always give them priority. **Why am I in the waiting list I was earlier/first?** There is two reasons, either you have attended the class before or, more likely, you didn't show up to a class you signed up for before. Buenas! (English below) Cada día aparecen formas nuevas de aprender español, (y otros idiomas) apps nuevas, métodos de gramática, IA, videos de profes explicando cosas, y están todas genial. Si te ayudan a entender más y a hablar mejor están genial. El plan de este grupo es mejorar tu español con juegos, actividades reales y ejercicios para hablar más. Con la excusa de los juegos y las actividades corregimos la mayoría de errores: Palabras difíciles, confundir pasados, preposiciones, verbos que significan muchas cosas, ser y estar en pasado, frases con dos verbos o mas, subjuntivo, expresiones coloquiales, y también los errores "culturales”: ¿De que forma usamos los españoles el idioma en diferentes situaciones? La gente que participa es (casi siempre) muy simpática, y normalmente deja reviews muy positivas de las clases. Si te cuadra el plan ven a practicar tu español y hablamos de comida, de viajes, de trabajo, de cultura, de Internet, de temas locales, de noticias y de muchas más cosas. Every day there are new ways to learn Spanish, (or any language) new apps, grammar methods, AI, teachers explaining things on videos, and they are all great. If they help you to understand more and to speak better, they are great. The main plan in this group is to improve your Spanish with games, real activities and exercises to speak more. All the games and activities are a good excuse to correct the most difficult/ frequent mistakes: Difficult words, confusing past tenses, prepositions, verbs that mean many things, ser and estar in the past, sentences with two or more verbs, subjuntive, colloquial expressions, and also “cultural" mistakes: How we, Spanish people, use the language in different situations? People participating are (almost always) very nice, and usually leave very positive reviews of the classes. If the plan fits you, come to practice your Spanish and we'll talk about food, travel, work, culture, Internet, local issues, business, news and many more things. This group inline skating class is designed for beginners and early-level skaters who want to build confidence, improve balance, and master essential skating skills in a fun and supportive environment. Kassy was a professional ice skater with Disney on Ice and has been skating since she was 2 years old. We’ll focus on the fundamentals that make skating feel smooth and controlled, including proper stance, weight distribution, and balance while moving. You’ll learn how to start, glide, turn, and stop safely, along with simple drills to improve coordination and stability on your skates. The class progresses at a comfortable pace, with clear demonstrations and individual feedback to help each participant feel steady and confident. Whether you’re brand new to rollerblading or returning after a break, this session will help you develop strong basics and feel more in control on wheels. Classes are predominantly held in English, though Kassy speaks French and Spanish too. We will meet at Moll de Bosch i Alsina, on the pavement beneath the red bridge (Puente móvil rojo). No advanced experience required - please bring your own skates. Whether you’ve never danced before or just want to refresh the basics, this night is designed to be open, fun, and completely beginner-friendly. *** ### 🕖 Schedule **18:00 – Doors Open** Arrive, grab a drink, meet other dancers, and get ready for the class. **18:15 – Salsa Class** We start with Salsa fundamentals, focusing on simple steps, partner work, and building confidence on the dance floor. **19:00 – Bachata Class** After Salsa, we move into Bachata. Smooth, fun, and easy to follow. *** **About the teacher Devon Katrina** I am a multi-disciplinary dancer, singer, and actor, born and raised in Los Angeles. I was raised by a family that loves to travel and explore the art and music of the world which inspired me to pursue ethnomusicology and world arts and culture. I studied World Arts and Culture at Santa Monica College, and UCLA. I have danced in movies, tv shows, arenas, and music videos for some of the top artists in the world, including CNCO, Pee Wee, Jon Z, Eladdio, YBN Nahmir, Happy Singh, and Midnight Sister. I was featured dancing Flamenco in the third meet the parents film “Little Fockers.” I have taught at studios all over LA, including SoHo Dance, and Liz Lira dance academy. For 7 years I taught for my mentor at Liz Lira dance Academy in Culver City I moved to Barcelona in 2023 to pursue my deep love of Bachata Sensual I taught and performed at the Vancouver Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba festival. I taught and performed Latin Burlesque at the Los Angeles Hustle Congress. I performed for over 50k people with the band Quitapenas at the Los Angeles Afro Latino Dance Festival at Grand Park DTLA. I started my own Heels troupe called “Les Femmes Fatales” in 2021 that performs my choreographies all over LA, in places such as The Granada, The Victorian, Townhouse and the Del Monte Speakeasy, the Warehouse and more. @devonkatrina ### What to expect You can come alone, many people do, and you’ll always find someone to dance with. Of course, bringing a friend makes it even more fun.
