Event #1: Creator Social & Content Hangout
🎥 Toronto Content Creators Social & Collaboration Meetup **Date:** 2026-06-26 **Duration:** 2 hours **Location:** Starbucks (1545 Bayview Ave) *** ## Event Description Welcome to our very first meetup! 🎉 This isn't a workshop. It isn't a networking event where everyone awkwardly exchanges business cards. It's simply a relaxed afternoon to meet other creators, make friends, exchange ideas, and maybe create some fun content together. Whether you've never posted a single video or you're already creating every week, you're welcome here. We'll spend time getting to know each other, talking about social media, cameras, editing, ideas, dreams, and the kind of content we'd love to make. If people feel comfortable, we'll split into small groups and help each other film short TikToks, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or just take great photos. No pressure. No expectations. No experience required. The goal is simple: ✨ Meet awesome creative people. 🎬 Make something together. 🤝 Leave with new friends and future collaborators. *** ## Tentative Schedule 👋 Meet & Introductions Everyone introduces themselves and shares: * Your name * What kind of content you'd like to create * One creator that inspires you ☕ Casual Social Relax, chat, exchange ideas and get to know everyone. 🎥 Mini Collaboration Session We'll pair up into small groups. Ideas include: * Funny skits * Cinematic shots * Interviews * Trend videos * Travel-style content * Photography * B-roll * Anything people feel inspired to create 🌇 Group Walk Explore nearby locations while filming whatever inspires us. 📸 Group Photo Celebrate our very first meetup! *** ## What to Bring Optional—not required. * Phone * Camera * Gimbal * Tripod * Microphone * Water * Comfortable shoes A phone is more than enough. *** ## Who Should Come? ✅ Complete beginners ✅ TikTok creators ✅ YouTubers ✅ Filmmakers ✅ Photographers ✅ Anyone thinking about starting ✅ Anyone looking for creative friends *** ## Our Goal This first meetup is all about building a community. We're not trying to create perfect videos. We're trying to create friendships, collaborations, and an environment where everyone feels comfortable creating. Who knows—someone you meet here could become your future creative partner. Let's make this the start of something amazing. 🎬✨

Jersey City Book Club: Circe
Jersey City Book Club: Circe
**🦋 Neighbourhood Read: Circe by Madeline Miller • Relaxed and Inclusive** We're meeting up to open up a conversation around Circe, our selection by Madeline Miller in a friendly low-key environment, and there is always more to discover in a good book together. No requirement to finish — come wherever you are in the book, and note any characters or moments you want to unpack, and bring your reading experience — since there is no wrong reading and every response is worth hearing. The evening is shaped by who is in the room — with the conversation moving where it naturally wants to go, and the most interesting moments never come from the planned questions. Every session is a good first session — and regular members are consistently enthusiastic about welcoming new readers, the only requirement is showing up ready to talk, and first-timers rarely feel like first-timers for long. ⭐ *"The group is warm and the conversation is always great — the discussion always produces at least one reading I had not considered"* – new to the group --- 💬 A great discussion changes how you see a great book — sign up and bring your reading experience however partial and the rest sorts itself out in the room. The group grows every time someone new joins. 💬
