Mob Programming at Mofer Coffee
Mob Programming at Mofer Coffee
Let’s do some coding together at a cafe! No more working alone in the weekend. Here, we write code together. And I mean together together. Not occupying-the-same-space-but-separate together. Here’s how it works: Jennifer brings her mobile app project, tells everyone that it is like Pinterest for recipes and she’d like to work on the nav bar. Paul and Chloe think Jennifer's project is fascinating, and they join the group. They gather around Jennifer’s laptop and work on the nav bar for 2 hours. Jennifer is the one typing out the code while Paul and Chloe research, brainstorm, and offer suggestions. If you’re feeling stuck on your own project or need a motivation boost, bring it to mob programming! Want to learn by watching how others code and solve problems? Join someone else’s project at this event! Oh and we love your half-done projects that you are a bit embarrassed to share. Absolutely bring those to the event! **Discord**: We use Discord to share screen & code snippets during the event. Also feel free to share your projects here before the event! https://discord.gg/xwjDdVSw3E **Event policy**: * We have 0 tolerance for harassment. * We don’t allow the projects that are not meant to be shared in public such as school assignments, interview tasks, or trade secrets. * The goal is to write code. We discourage you from pitching business ideas here, doing code reviews, or spending the whole event on planning what to do. * Please buy a drink, and tip the barista well.

In Good Company – Saturday Walk & Coffee (Rosedale → Brick Works)
In Good Company – Saturday Walk & Coffee (Rosedale → Brick Works)
A simple way to meet new people and spend a relaxed Saturday morning outdoors. This is a new, small meetup series — first walks are now starting. We’ll meet just outside the main entrance of Rosedale Subway Station at street level (I’ll be standing near the exit and easy to spot), and walk through Rosedale onto the ravine trails toward Evergreen Brick Works, finishing with coffee and conversation. The format is simple — just a walk, fresh air, and easy conversation. Most people come on their own, so you’ll likely not be the only new face. It’s a smaller group by design, which makes it easier to talk and connect without it feeling overwhelming. Conversations can stay light or go a bit deeper depending on what feels natural — there’s no agenda or structure. **Timing** • Meet: 11:00–11:15am at Rosedale Station • Walk: \~40 minutes at an easy pace • Coffee: around midday at Brick Works You’re welcome to join for the full walk or meet us at the cafĆ©. If you’re running late, feel free to join us along the route or meet at the cafĆ©. If it’s raining heavily, we’ll skip the walk and meet directly at Brick Works instead - the Pop-up Cafe inside the Young Centre at Brick Works. In case it rains, I will update this invite on the morning of the event day. I’ll be there to welcome everyone and keep things relaxed and easy. Looking forward to meeting you.

Cleveland Interactive Zoom Dating for Singles
**🌸 Virtual Speed Dating for Cleveland Singles from Your Couch — Real Rounds** Each evening, you'll participate in guided one-on-one video rounds with Cleveland singles your age curated by personality quiz, while a host keeps the rounds comfortable. Ahead of joining, you submit a short personality questionnaire — your personality profile from that quiz to line up well-matched Cleveland people for your rounds, so every person you meet has been matched to you on purpose. After the night, we share who chose whom — shared only when both sides chose each other — and the conversation continues on your terms. **Pick your age group and register:** - **Ages 18-32** → [REGISTER HERE](https://tempodating.com/product?productId=532.0&productType=onlineSpeedDating&city=Cleveland&groupurlname=club-for-serious-connections-day-trips&ar=18-32&face_v=4.0) - **Ages 30-46** → [REGISTER HERE](https://tempodating.com/product?productId=532.0&productType=onlineSpeedDating&city=Cleveland&groupurlname=club-for-serious-connections-day-trips&ar=30-46&face_v=4.0) - **Ages 40-58** → [REGISTER HERE](https://tempodating.com/product?productId=532.0&productType=onlineSpeedDating&city=Cleveland&groupurlname=club-for-serious-connections-day-trips&ar=40-58&face_v=4.0) - **Ages 55+** → [REGISTER HERE](https://tempodating.com/product?productId=532.0&productType=onlineSpeedDating&city=Cleveland&groupurlname=club-for-serious-connections-day-trips&ar=55+&face_v=4.0) **āš ļø Do not lose your spot:** Just clicking rsvp will not save your spot in the session, so follow the age group link above, register, and complete the personality quiz to lock in your spot — limited capacity means you should not wait, and RSVP plus full registration is what holds your seat. --- **This is for you if:** - Locals from Cleveland bored of conversations that fizzle before a first date and prefer meeting people in person first. - Women and men in Cleveland moving beyond digital dating that never converts to anything real and want to meet real locals without the faff. - Someone within Cleveland leaving behind digital dating that never converts to anything real and want to try something that actually works. - Members throughout Cleveland who have given up on matches that ghost after two messages and want to meet real locals without the faff. **Your four steps** 1. **Confirm your place** – via the registration link above for your bracket, then finish the personality questionnaire, as both steps together confirm your attendance. 2. **Open Zoom** – via the Zoom link when the event begins, works on any device without requiring a download, and from there a live host guides everything. 3. **Meet your matches** – timed one-on-one speed dates with personality-matched Cleveland locals in your group, with a friendly host making sure every round feels easy, and the people in your rounds were sorted specifically for you. 4. **Collect your mutual matches** – we reveal mutual matches once the session ends, with contact info only shared when both of you said yes, and the outcome is yours to take forward at your leisure. ⭐ *"Great evening — I will definitely be back"* – Cleveland local, first event šŸ’” **Before you join:** grab a glass of water before you start, so the rounds feel natural from the very start, since small prep leads to a noticeably better experience. --- ✨ Try something that actually works — grab your place above before it goes and we will do the rest for this event. It’s time to take control of your mental health. How do you get rid of stress, anxiety and uncertainty? These emotions are buried deep in your reactive mind. Find out what the reactive mind is, and in the process find yourself. Have you ever suffered from a traumatic experience, a deep loss or been through a painful breakup? Has your ability to communicate suffered as a result? And after that, even though you "moved on" did you find that things were never quite the same? Have you ever looked at childhood photos, or reminisced your early life and wondered where that happiness and spark went? Are your emotions out of your own control? Have you ever felt, even if you aren’t aware of it, that possibly you are getting in your own way of your happiness and success? How does this affect your self-confidence? Find out what is at the root of all stress, anxiety, depression and self-doubt. Find out how and why you hold yourself back from achieving your goals and having the life you have dreamed of. COUNT monthly event: Kitchen service at Van Buren Center's shelter
COUNT monthly event: Kitchen service at Van Buren Center's shelter
Come assist Van Buren Shelter (https://ymcacolumbus.org/locations/vanburen) staff in serving dinners and cleaning up on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Dinner for the women is 5-6 pm and for the families is 6:15-7:15 pm. There is ample free parking available in the shelter's lot. The recommended area to park is in green in the image above. There will be a new entrance for the time being. We are asking all volunteers to enter through the Donation Dock door, the orange mark on the image above. This door is located between the Single Adults and Family Shelter. You will see 2 large garage doors with a large green trash compactor in the center. Please head to the closest garage door to the building wall, with a ramp leading up. There, you will see a door with a sign stating instructions on how to enter the building. Please ring the doorbell, and a staff member will come and escort you into the building. If a staff member takes longer than 5 minutes, please call the front desk at 614-689-2020. This is a new process for us, and we do not want to keep you waiting! We appreciate your patience as we navigate this temporary change. The shelter needs a volunteer count the day before the event so sign-up ends Monday at 4:50 PM. Afterwards some of us go to the Omnipresent Atheists Weekly Meetup in progress to have a bit to eat or drink (http://www.meetup.com/omnipresentatheists/). Volunteers must be 14 or older. Since we will be working around families, the YMCA does not permit volunteering by individuals with convictions for violent or sexual crimes. The YMCA reserves the right to run background checks on volunteers. For questions, comment on this page or contact: Andrew, awhit12@yahoo.com, (614)937-5802 (cell). Please let Andrew know if you volunteer anytime other than our COUNT events so that he can count your hours toward our service record.
