***Is there an objective standard of good aesthetic taste?*** *Or is it just a matter of subjective preferences? Can those preferences be authentic, or are they shaped by social pressures and imitation?* In this session of **Marginal Thoughts**, we will explore whether aesthetic taste can be evaluated or whether it remains irreducibly subjective. Could it really be so simple?! **How to prepare** Watching the video would be the minimal preparation, whereas additionally reading the essay is ideal but can be skipped in a pinch. As you engage with the material, try to identify at least one point of curiosity, confusion, or uncertainty - these will be natural starting points for our discussion. **What to expect** This is an in-person, conversational meetup in English. Ich liebe es neue Menschen kennenzulernen und auch bekannte Gesichter wiederzusehen, dann geh ich ganz nebenbei und das macht auch noch Spaß.😊 **Walk:** Wir brauchen einfach regelmäßige Bewegung und ich weiß selbst, wie schwierig es ist, diese in den Alltag zu integrieren. Deshalb ist dieser Walk genau richtig. Nach diesem Spaziergang fühlst du dich einfach wohl, fit und entspannt. **Talk:** Das Reden kommt ganz von selbst beim Gehen. Du kannst über alles reden, egal, ob privates oder berufliches, alles was sich ergibt ist willkommen. Hey folks, WE ARE BACK AGAIN! This Badminton meet-up is for ALL levels: beginners - advanced - experts. Everyone is welcome to join and test their skills and have some fun together. The organiser will reserve courts in advance - PLEASE ONLY REGISTER IF YOU REALLY PLAN TO COME (OR CANCEL ASAP IF SOMETHING CAME UP) SO WE HAVE CORRECT NUMBERS. Late cancelation (before 24 hours) or no show would be asked to pay. We are meeting at about 6:50 pm near the reception by the lounge. Come a bit earlier so you have time to change into workout/sports clothes. Also, bring clean indoor sports shoes and a water bottle with you. The summer edition is the second workshop in the "Grow your own Vegetables" workshop series. As always, our "vegetable whisperer" Kim will provide hands-on guidance as we work together. We will also cover the differences between greenhouse and outdoor cultivation, which crops are better off being transplanted versus sown directly, and the conditions needed for plants to grow into strong, fruit-bearing specimens.
