🌸🌳 CHERRY BLOSSOMS IN HIGH PARK WALK + LUNCH 🌳🌸
🌸🌳 CHERRY BLOSSOMS IN HIGH PARK WALK + LUNCH 🌳🌸
🌸🌳 **CHERRY BLOSSOMS IN HIGH PARK WALK + LUNCH** 🌳🌸 **Spring Blooms, Busy Energy & A Tavern Finish** If the early morning version felt a little too ambitious… this one’s for you. Join us for a slightly later start to experience the cherry blossoms in High Park — one of Toronto’s most beautiful (and busiest) spring traditions. For a short window each year, the park fills with soft pink blooms, drawing people from all over the city. It’s vibrant, a little chaotic, and completely worth it. The cherry trees were originally gifted in 1959 by the citizens of Tokyo through Ambassador Toru-Hagiwara, symbolizing friendship and appreciation. Many were planted along the hillside near Grenadier Pond — and today, they’ve become one of Toronto’s most anticipated seasonal moments. This is not a formal tour. It’s a social walk — come for the blossoms, stay for the experience. 👉 📲 **Join Our WhatsApp Group:**[ Click here to join](https://chat.whatsapp.com/DRFTkxRlHS4B3IL1lMleUd) \*\*\* 🚶‍♂️ **What We’ll Do** We’ll meet at the park and head toward the three main cherry blossom areas, stopping at each so everyone has time to take photos and enjoy the views. Afterward, we’ll continue on a relaxed walk through the park, passing by the zoo and taking in more of the scenery. To wrap things up, we’ll head out of the park and make our way to The Mugshot Tavern for a casual lunch together. 🍔🍻 You’re welcome to join for food or head out whenever you like. Please note: there are hills throughout the park. \*\*\* 🌦️ **Weather & Expectations** This event will happen in typical spring weather — sun, wind, or light rain. As long as it’s not extreme conditions, we’ll be going ahead. Dress in layers and wear comfortable shoes. 🌸 **IMPORTANT:** Cherry blossom timing can change depending on the season. This event may be moved to another date to catch peak bloom — please keep an eye on updates. Also — expect crowds. This is a popular event, especially later in the morning. And as always — this is NOT a guided or historical tour. I’ll share context casually, but the focus is on enjoying the space together. \*\*\* 🚫 Getting There **DO NOT DRIVE TO THIS EVENT.** Parking will be extremely limited or unavailable. It is strongly recommended to take public transit to High Park Station. \*\*\* 🧢 Meetup Details 📍 Meetup Location: High Park sign (west side at Bloor & High Park Ave) 🫎 I’ll be wearing my Moose Hat ⏰ Meetup Time: 11:00 AM I will only wait 5 minutes. Early is on time. On time is late. We’ll head in promptly. End Point: Near The Mugshot Tavern \*\*\* 🎟️ Meetup Fee: $5 cash in person or e-transfer to 📧 \*\*[mathewmaclean@hotmail.com**](http://mathewmaclean@hotmail.com%2A%2A/) This helps support the group and allows us to keep hosting events like this. Thank you for supporting community! 💖 \*\*\* 🎒 **What to Bring** **Water** Good walking shoes (hills!) Camera or phone for photos 📸 Weather-appropriate clothing (layers + spring-ready 🌸) Optional: cash/card for lunch Please also use the washroom before arriving, as stops are limited early on. \*\*\* **🌈 Who Is This For?** This group is open to anyone who wants to be social and make friends — whether single or not. We also host: 🎬 Movies 🚶 Walks & hikes 🎭 Arts & culture outings 🍽️ Restaurant gatherings There’s always something happening. \*\*\* **REMEMBER:** You’re welcome to just show up on the day if you’re unsure about your schedule. And as always, sometimes plans shift and events may need to be canceled — please keep an eye on updates. \*\*\* 👤 Organizer: Mathew Questions? Post on the event wall or email 📧 [[torontomoviesandoutings@hotmail.com](mailto:torontomoviesandoutings@hotmail.com)]([mailto:torontomoviesandoutings@hotmail.com](http://mailto:torontomoviesandoutings@hotmail.com/)) Come for the blossoms. Stay for the lunch. Leave feeling like you made the most of one of Toronto’s busiest — and most beautiful — spring days. 🌸✨

The insider travel list for 2026/2027 — and you're invited to hear it first
You know that feeling when your passport is judging you from the drawer? Yeah. We need to fix that. **Sunday, May 3rd at 6:30pm**, we're gathering in person — wine in hand, snacks on the table — and spilling everything about where the world's top travel experts say you absolutely *must* go in 2026 and 2027. Twenty destinations. Curated. Tested. Coconut-approved. Some will surprise you. Some will make you immediately Google flights. At least one will make you say "wait, that's actually possible for me?" **Yes. It is.** This isn't a PowerPoint torture session. It's a *travel conversation* with people who actually go — the real spots, the insider tips, what it's actually like to show up somewhere new with a group of people who become your people by the time you land back home. Whether you've travelled with us before or you've been "thinking about it" for two years — this night is for you. **Here's what you'll walk away with:** ✈️ The 20 must-see destinations for 2026/2027 (from the people who actually know) 🧡 A real look at upcoming Playful Coconuts trips and exactly what they're like 👯 A room full of adventure-ready humans who get it 🍷 Wine and snacks, because obviously 📍 **72A Union Street** 🗓 **Sunday, May 3rd** ⏰ **6:30pm Ottawa (I know but we will feed you).** Space is limited — this is in-person and intimate, not a webinar with 200 strangers. Come curious. Come hungry. Come ready to say yes to something that scares you just a little. *(That's where the good stuff lives.)* **[RSVP RIGHT HERE — I'm coming Sunday → debra@playfulcoconuts.com** See you there, Sue *Your Coconut Commander* P.S. — If you've been waiting for a sign to finally plan that trip you keep talking about? This is it. Literally. A sign. In your inbox. You're welcome. P.P.S. - you can't make it in person? Send us your email address (press reply) and we will flip you the top 20 list immediately.

Tropical Night! + Freestyle
It's "***Tropical Night!***" Dig out your old *Hawaiian Shirts* and *Grass Skirts* as wecgather to drink wine this Friday. Hilliard Wine Club will sip the evening away while sporting the fashions of tourists throughout the Tropics. Glasses are provided. Bring a snack to share. Bring a bottle to share (no formal wine tasting this week). See all the details below for this Hilliard Wine Club Wine event. In Person. In Real Life. Actual Wine from glass bottles with corks and everything. **Wine**: It's Freestyle night, that means bring a bottle of wine to share. Door charge is $10 (cash or Venmo only please). **Parking**: There are several public parking lots near the Alive614 hall. Please be careful to NOT park in private parking lots. They do tow. Check Google maps to scope out your space. Anyone who is early could easily find a parking space on the street nearby. **Glasses**: …will be provided. Please note that after the wine tasting, the EMPTY glasses need to be returned to the boxes at the service table. Please do not make me hunt down your empty glass. Please be gentle, our glasses are fragile. Uh, they are made of glass! **Food**: You are welcome to bring a snack to share. It is not required. Most people do though. If no one brings anything, there will be nothing. **Code of Conduct**: Though mostly understood, it’s still worth mentioning. We don’t have rules per se, but we highly discourage the following topics of discussion because they are likely to incite anti-social responses - Sex, Politics, Religion. Please don’t mistake this as an attempt to limit your free speech rights but rather a guide to a place and time for appropriate discussions. **After the lights go out**: After the last sip of wine, when we clean up and turn the lights out, if you still haven’t had enough of us, it is typical for a group to get together and go to a local eatery for food and/or drinks or coffee. Again, We look forward to meeting new members and reuniting with old friends. Sincerely, ***Paul Uttermohlen***, **Red 1 Realty** *Your Hilliard Wine Club Host*
