It’s especially beautiful in the spring time with the trees budding, the ice thawing and no bugs to be found. This hike covers a gentle 6km and brings you over trickling streams and bridges, winds through diverse, piney forests filled with fungi and brings you out to hilly meadows where you may spot the first few wildflowers of the season pushing through. After the hike, we’ll gather together for some time at the Adamo Estate Winery right beside the park to eat, drink and socialize with good company. **Please note anything purchased at the winery is not included in the cost of your registration.** **Highlights** **Diverse Landscapes-** Embrace the wide array of different landscapes you will encounter throughout this adventure **Winery Experience-** Savour amazing wines from a great Ontario producer **Group Social Moment-** The perfect opportunity to connect and chat with fellow WU members **Event cost: $40+HST - optional transport available.** **Register [here. ](https://www.wildernessunion.com/adventures/hockley-valley-and-winery)** **About Wilderness Union** Wilderness Union is deliberate about building an outdoors community that connects you to the life-changing magic of the outdoors and helps you find your people. Members range from 20-40 years old. The group is a mix of GTA locals and newcomers to Toronto from within Canada and abroad. Attendance numbers on Meetup don't reflect our actual event attendance - we typically have 15-20 community members at each event. Large enough that there's someone new to meet but small enough that it's not overwhelming! ***Learn more at our website [www.wildernessunion.com](https://www.wildernessunion.com/)***

🚐 Doors Open Guelph Road Trip + Chuck's Roadhouse
🚐 Doors Open Guelph Road Trip + Chuck's Roadhouse
🚐 **Doors Open Guelph Road Trip!** **Saturday, April 25** Let’s hit the road and make a day of it! We’re heading to **Doors Open Guelph** for a fun, curiosity-fuelled adventure exploring buildings and spaces that are usually closed to the public. **A little context:** Nick has been a **Doors Open Toronto volunteer for over two decades** (yep, a true Doors Open nerd in the best way 😄) and genuinely loves checking out how other cities do it. Guelph is packed with history, beautiful architecture, and some surprising hidden gems—perfect for a Doors Open day trip. *** ### 🏛️ What is Doors Open? If you’ve never been before, Doors Open is an **annual, free architectural and cultural event** where cities open the doors to historic, cultural, and behind-the-scenes spaces. Think heritage buildings, churches, civic spaces, theatres, old industrial sites, and more—often with tours, guides, or special access you wouldn’t normally get. 👉 [https://www.doorsopenontario.on.ca/pages/events/guelph](https://www.doorsopenontario.on.ca/pages/events/guelph) *** ### 🗓️ The Plan * **Departure:** 8:00 AM from just outside **Christie Station** * **Transportation:** Rental minivan * **Destination:** Doors Open Guelph * **Lunch stop:** **Chuck’s Roadhouse (Guelph – Clair Rd)** 👉 [https://chucksroadhouse.com/locations/guelph-clair/](https://chucksroadhouse.com/locations/guelph-clair/) * **Return to Toronto:** Around **6:00 PM**, traffic depending *** ### 🍔 Food & Drink * Lunch will be at **Chuck’s Roadhouse** * **You are responsible for your own food and drink purchases** *** ### 💰 Cost **$50 round-trip** This covers: * Car rental * Insurance * Fuel **It does NOT cover your food or drinks** To secure your spot, all participants must e-transfer $50 to: nicolasbello@yahoo.com Spots are limited based on vehicle capacity, so please RSVP only if you’re able to commit. *** ### 🎒 What to Bring * Comfortable walking shoes * Curiosity & good vibes * A little patience for traffic (it’s part of the road-trip charm) *** ### 🌦️ Weather Note This event **runs rain or shine**, so please **dress appropriately for the weather**. The good news is that we’ll be **inside most of the time**, but there will still be some walking between locations. **Health and safety** Just a quick reminder for our upcoming Doors Open road trips: if you’re feeling unwell or starting to come down with something, we kindly ask that you cancel your RSVP. Since we’ll be spending several hours together in a rental minivan, it’s important that everyone feels comfortable and safe throughout the day. Giving Nick as much notice as possible also helps—when there’s enough advance warning, he may be able to arrange a full or partial refund for your spot. We appreciate your understanding and consideration for the group, and we look forward to a great day together! Thanks so much. *** This should be a great mix of architecture, history, food, and classic road-trip fun. Come explore Guelph with us! 🚐✨
Mushroom Medicine Ceremony "Express Yourself"
Mushroom Medicine Ceremony "Express Yourself"
*This ceremony will be held at our beautiful studio* *'The Soul Sanctuary'in Leslieville, Toronto* ***Hosted by Chris Dub & Jennifer Mya.*** **Do you want to:** * Love yourself the way you are, and feel more confident to show people the real you? * Experience less anxiety, more joy, and move through triggers with more ease and grace? * Forgive your past self, and move forward feeling empowered by your choices? * Be held and guided as you look at negative thought patterns, so you can work through the outdated beliefs associated with them? * Free yourself from worry, and self-doubt, and receive practical tools to pull out the roots of depression? * Have a life changing spiritual experience, feel incredible gratitude for everything that has brought you to this point, and become the creator of your life moving forward? **Join us, dear Soul.** The time is now to rise up into your most empowered Self. To love, forgive, and have unconditional self compassion, unlearning the ways you've been taught to judge your emotions, thoughts, and desires. ***When you feel unconditionally loved and supported, you can more easefully bring forward the gifts you came here to share, and the purpose you came here to fulfill.*** The mind can distract you, and make you question your access to this unconditional love, but when you touch the source of it within you, it clarifies any confusion and you remember that it is your birthright. ***This ceremony is an opportunity to open your heart, and gain control of the mind.*** **Forgive yourself at the deepest level, and allow gratitude to guide you toward freedom.** When you forgive yourself and those around you, your power flows back into you. Gratitude is the open door to freedom and abundance, and ***when you recognize the gifts of the lessons life has given you - it becomes easier to let go of anger, resentment, and regret***. As you unravel what has been held and blocked within you, there is a natural alchemy that takes place within the body. Energy that's become stagnant is unfurled, allowing you to open to your natural confidence, peace, and vitality. ***We create and hold you in a loving space to heal and process through old traumas, ancestral karma, and to become more astutely aware of ego identification, leading to freedom, peace, and simplicity.*** **Release negative thought patterns, and rewire your nervous system for harmony and balance.** This ceremony is a safe space for you to look at the negative thoughts and limiting beliefs that hold you back from feeling your freest, clearest, most fully expressed self. Regulate your system through the awareness of breath, body (all levels - mental, emotional, physical & energetic), your 5 senses, and extrasensory perceptions. ***As you re-balance and re-align your system you will be able to see your internal experience more clearly, and also recognize why other people are the way they are, allowing you to have more compassion and forgiveness both for others and yourself.*** The more ***aware*** you are, the better ***regulated*** you are, and from that space you can become the master of your domain. You deserve the space and time to simply be, rest, rejuvenate, and feel the aliveness of living life moment by moment for YOU! **You are fully supported throughout the entire journey.** This ceremony includes the optional combination of pure MDMA along with the psilocybin mushrooms. We have found these medicines work very synergistically together, and offer an amplified level of heart opening. The pure MDMA is optional, and the dosing for both medicines will be based upon your intentions, disposition, prior experience, and current state at the time of the ceremony. After this ceremony you will feel more love for yourself and others, with a heightened sense of courage, strength, and integrity. ***You will want to make better choices, and also have the self-awareness needed to stay accountable to yourself.*** This level of love and clarity will emanate out to reach and impact all those closest to you. ***This is an invitation to open up your heart, and love and forgive yourself through unconditional acceptance. To awaken to your divinity and beauty, and access your greatest gifts of self-healing and conscious creatorship.*** **Ceremony Preparation & Integration** Prior to the ceremony you will receive an in-depth **plant medicine workbook** to help you prepare, questions to ask yourself and a recommended diet to support your experience. We will meet as a group before the ceremony for an **Intention Setting Call**, to connect with each other and share our intentions for the journey. You will also receive a **nervous system regulating practice** that supports in expanding internal awareness, grounding, centering and overall mindfulness. Following the Ceremony we will have an **Integration Call** to support and hold space for continued breakthroughs, challenges and dream weaving. 🏙️🍔 LIBERTY VILLAGE, STACKT MARKET & THE WELL WALK 🍔🏙️
🏙️🍔 LIBERTY VILLAGE, STACKT MARKET & THE WELL WALK 🍔🏙️
🏙️🍔 LIBERTY VILLAGE, STACKT MARKET & THE WELL WALK 🍔🏙️ Old Industry, New Energy & A Food Hall Finish Some parts of Toronto have completely reinvented themselves — and walking through them feels like watching the city evolve in real time. This is a brand new walk — the first time we’re doing it — and it’s all about exploring three very different (and very cool) pockets of the west end. We’ll start in Liberty Village, once an industrial zone filled with factories and rail lines, now transformed into a buzzing neighbourhood of condos, creative spaces, and local energy. You can still feel the history in the brick buildings — it’s just been given a whole new life. From there, we’ll head to Stackt Market, a unique outdoor market built from shipping containers, full of pop-up shops, art, and ever-changing vendors. We’ll finish at The Well, one of Toronto’s newest and most talked-about developments, where we’ll settle into the food hall for a relaxed lunch together. This is not a formal tour. It’s a social walk — a mix of city exploration, light storytelling, and discovering places together. 👉 **Don’t forget to join our WhatsApp group** – [CLICK HERE!](https://chat.whatsapp.com/DRFTkxRlHS4B3IL1lMleUd) *** 🚶‍♂️ What We’ll Do We’ll meet at Wendy’s at King & Dufferin and begin our walk into Liberty Village, wandering through its streets and getting a feel for the neighbourhood. From there, we’ll make our way over to Stackt Market to explore, browse, and take it all in. Afterward, we’ll continue toward The Well, where we’ll wrap up the walk and grab lunch in the food hall. There are lots of options, so everyone can find something they like. You’re welcome to stay and eat or head out whenever you like. *** 🌦️ Weather & Expectations This walk will happen in typical spring weather — sun, wind, or light rain. As long as it’s not extreme conditions, we’ll be going ahead. Dress in layers and come prepared — this is April in Toronto. Comfortable shoes are recommended. Also — since this is our first time doing this route, we’ll be exploring it together a bit. That’s part of the fun. And as always — this is NOT a guided or historical tour. It’s about being social and enjoying the experience. *** 🧢 Meetup Details 📍 Meetup Location: I will be waiting outside of Wendy’s at King & Dufferin 🫎 I’ll be wearing my Moose Hat ⏰ Meetup Time: 11:00 AM I will only wait 5 minutes. Early is on time. On time is late. We’ll head out promptly, so please plan ahead. End Point: The Well (Food Hall) *** 🎟️ Meetup Fee: $5 cash in person or e-transfer to 📧 **mathewmaclean@hotmail.com** This helps support the group and allows us to keep hosting events like this. Thank you for supporting community! 💖 *** 🎒 What to Bring Water Comfortable walking shoes A small snack (optional) Weather-appropriate clothing (layers + rain-ready ☔) Optional: cash/card for lunch Please also use the washroom before arriving, as stops are limited. *** 🌈 Who Is This For? This group is open to anyone who wants to be social and make friends — whether single or not. We also host: 🎬 Movies 🚶 Walks & hikes 🎭 Arts & culture outings 🍽️ Restaurant gatherings There’s always something happening. *** REMEMBER: You’re welcome to just show up on the day if you’re unsure about your schedule. And as always, sometimes plans shift and events may need to be canceled — please keep an eye on updates. *** 👤 Organizer: Mathew Questions? Post on the event wall or email 📧 torontomoviesandoutings@hotmail.com Come for the contrast. Stay for the food. Leave feeling like you experienced three different Torontos — all in one walk. 🏙️✨

Summer Social: Let's kick off summer with Adult field day at Shadybowl!
We’re bringing back Adult Field Day. Last year was a good mix of competition and just hanging out, so we’re doing it again with some new games mixed in. Think team-based challenges, simple races, and a few things inspired by game shows. You don’t need to be athletic. Most of the fun is just being part of a team and getting to know people you wouldn’t normally talk to. The goal isn’t really winning. It’s meeting people, laughing a bit, and leaving knowing a few more names than when you showed up. If you stick around after, we’ll have a potluck, a bonfire, and a couple comedians in the evening. Bring: * Something to share for the potluck * Clothes you can move around in A small contribution helps keep events sustainable and ensures those who RSVP actually show up. Include your Meetup name + event name in the note. Please send $2 per person to guarantee your spot. Venmo (preferred) or PayPal @WiseUnlimitedLLC Actual links in comments below! American Sign Language Beginners Meetup Group
American Sign Language Beginners Meetup Group
We meet to learn and practice American Sign Language and to grow our familiarity with Deaf culture. Facilitated by hearing folks (with a connection to a professional interpreter) using Deaf-created content. People of all ASL skill levels are welcome! As we learn, we hope to connect more with the Deaf community in Central Ohio. Join us as you're able! Come regularly or just once - whatever you're looking for! Each meetup will explore different topics related to ASL/Deaf culture, and will feature time to practice conversation with one another. Just bring yourself and a willingness to learn!
