We meet and chat about it, as a starting point of conversation. Please feel free to bring books :)

DUBLIN K67 FK22 **Ryan Curtis - Guest Speaker** Ryan is making remarkable progress after being paralyzed from the neck down and “close to death” MMA fighter Ryan 'Chaos' Curtis suffered a broken back, broken neck .and dislocated spine during a training session. He will join us for his speech on his miracle recovery after being told he would never walk again. A typical Toastmasters International meeting, you will experience a fun, supportive, and encouraging environment designed to help people grow in confidence and communication skills. Meetings usually include prepared speeches from members, where speakers practise everything from storytelling and presentations to leadership and persuasion skills. We also have a “Topics” session, where members can volunteer to answer light-hearted or thought-provoking questions with short impromptu speeches — a great way to build confidence thinking on your feet. In addition, meetings may include a poem or an educational spot where members share tips on public speaking, communication, or leadership skills. Constructive and supportive feedback is also provided to help speakers improve in a positive and encouraging way. Most importantly, guests are under absolutely no pressure to participate or speak. You are very welcome to simply attend, observe, and get a feel for how the meetings work before deciding if it is something you would enjoy.

Let Go of that Separate Version of Who you Think You Are !!! Shodo Harada Roshi. **What we do:** Are you interested in Meditation ? Perhaps you would be interested in our evening of Meditation? Our tradition is that of Rinzai Zen, our teacher Harada Roshi. Our main practice during the evening is Zazen, seated Meditation practice. Sitting together in silence we turn our attention inward and seek to awaken to the truth of that which we truly are. We start the evening with a round of Zazen(sitting Meditation) followed by Kinhin (walking Meditation), another round of Zazen and finishing with Chanting of a number of Sutras, including The Heart Sutra. If you are new to meditation, instruction can be given. **Organisers Statement.** All interested in Meditation practice welcome, beginners and experienced persons alike. **Evening Walk in Malahide Park & Castle.** **When : Friday, 5th the of June** **Meeting Point : Malahide Dart Station (Main Enterance)** **How to get there ? By taking the DART, H2 Bus (Via Howth Road), 42 (Via Malahide Road) Bus or the Commuter Train.** We will walking for around 1-2 Hours around the Park & Castle then we will go to Malahide Main Street for some food and drinks. Please join Columbus Tea Lovers for a tasting of loose leaf teas at a private residence in Worthington. (The address will be sent out via private Meetup message a day ahead to those who have RSVP'd.) June 20th is the Worthington Arts Festival so feel free to attend that event which is down the street in addition to the tea party. For this tasting please bring a tea or tisane (an herbal brew that contains no tea leaves) does not come in a prepackaged tea bag. You can feel free to bring it pre-brewed in a carafe or thermos; please leave out the milk and sweetener as we will have some on hand to mix and match. We will have the kettle on and fillable single serve disposable tea bags if you would like to bring the tea leaves unbrewed and extra tea cups on hand as well. We welcome you to bring snacks or desserts that are you enjoy pairing with tea. You can bring a chair if the day is nice in case we sit outside. There is a cat in the house, so be aware in case of allergies. If you want to write in the chat what you plan to bring so we don't have a lot of the same thing, please do so!

Unshackled will be one of the largest The Prisoners wines tasting in the nation this Thursday, hosted by Stuart, in my absence. The Prisoner Wines have several dozen white and red blended wines using unusual combinations that are very different than traditional blends from Bordeaux or The Rhone regions. ***The Prisoner Red Blend*** is comprised of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon Petit Sirah, Syrah, Merlot, and Malbec. ***Saldo***, in the $30 range, has Petite Sirah, Grenache, Syrah, Mataro, Verdelho, and Cabernet Sauvignon. ***The Prisoner Chardonnay*** has, Chardonnay, Viognier and Gewürztraminer. You get the idea: no traditional limits in blending grapes. I will get a table for people to gather. It will be crowded, so be patient with this very popular. Feel free to bring your own food as it is welcomed at this local gem or order from the newly opened Worthington Inn, or local favorites such as Dewey's, Everest, Jet, Worthington Tavern and The Whitney. Each person pays their tasting fee, typically $15, and gets their wine glass, then approximately five pours of the wines being served. **Parking is tough**. Try the second lot behind House Wine accessed by the land by the back parking lot or the municipal lot one block north of House Wine. **Waiver and Liability and Attendance Policy.** Participation by you and your guests means you agree to the Waiver of Liability and Attendance Policies on our Group Page. People who have two more or Attendance policy violations are subject to removal from the group.

If no one brings anything, there will be nothing. **Code of Conduct**: Though mostly understood, it’s still worth mentioning. We don’t have rules per se, but we highly discourage the following topics of discussion because they are likely to incite anti-social responses - Sex, Politics, Religion. Please don’t mistake this as an attempt to limit your free speech rights but rather a guide to a place and time for appropriate discussions. **Extra Wine**: After everyone has had their samples, we remove the pouring spouts and any remaining wine is poured freely to whomever wants it. I hate having leftover wine. **Queen of Hearts**: The Queen of Hearts raffle is a fundraiser for the club and a Barnum and Bailey type extravaganza - minus the dancing ponies, clowns, and actual circus.
