Beaver Dam Workday

The trail system at Beaver Dam is one of the older trails in the Triangle. This trail suffers constant erosion due to the hilly terrain and multiple streams in the area. The trail needs regular maintenance to help maintain drainage so it can reopen quickly after rain events.

Directions: There is a dirt lot on the West side (left side in northbound direction of travel) of Creedmoor Rd, about 1/4 mile before Beaver Dam entrance. There will be a TORC sign on Creedmoor about 150 yards before the entrance facing northbound traffic.

• Meet time: 8:30 AM-11:30 AM (may stop early if weather is hot/humid)
• Walk across Creedmoor Rd to access trail. Trail work starts at 8:45 am.
• Duration of the workday: No more than 3 hours
• Type of Work: Moving dirt and rocks, shaping features, clearing vines and brush, de-berming, knicks and grade reversals
• Tools: Tools will be provided.
• What to bring: sturdy shoes or boots, gloves, appropriate clothing, and water

Please sign the new 2025 TORC waiver if you have not already signed. Only needs to be done once per calendar year.
