See all- Unreal Editor for Fortnite: Game Jam KickoffFrontier RTP - Building 800, Research Triangle Park, NC
Are you interested in Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN)? Join us for a weekend game jam and try something new, whether or not you are already versed in the system.
The goal of this game jam is to use UEFN to collaboratively create, and, perhaps even publish, a game. We will have both in-person and virtual options for participation. All are encouraged to come to the team formation Friday night, even if you would like to do Saturday & Sunday virtually. (Encouraged, not required.)
Why UEFN?
As an introduction into developing with Unreal Engine (UE):
While Unreal Engine is a linchpin for a large portion of the gaming industry, getting started is often an overwhelming process. UEFN can be a great starting point into UE, even if you decide that making Fortnite games isn’t for you or your current project. Unreal Engine is at the core of UEFN. However, it's a distinct system leveraging the titan of an editor within a limited scope.Practice making multifarious Fortnite games:
While the perception might be that Fortnite = Battle Royale and variations thereof, the reality is that the toolset is versatile. UEFN gives creators access to the core power of UE within the Fortnite ecosystem, allowing for a vast range of game types. The Verse scripting language further expands functionality by allowing for custom game logic.Joining virtually:
