The Umstead Coalition is dedicated to preserving the natural integrity of William B. Umstead State Park and the Richland Creek Natural Area. We support Umstead State Park with service projects, park protection, preserving historic structures, providing hikes and events, environmental education, and protection of the park's natural resources. Details of the event have not been posted. In the past, RDU has simply held poster presentation in which there are several stations staffed with someone to tell us what they are going to do. This is supposed to be a two-way conversation, so please go and tell them what you feel.
This land is still zoned Residential-40 and this development is not appropriate for this location/zoning. RDU could put this development by Brier Creek Lake and leave all of LCCP alone.
