This water trail adventure showcases a scenic stretch of the Jordan River mid valley between 6400 South and 3900 South. We’ll launch in Murray and take-out in Millcreek. Blue skies and mountain vistas combined with autumn foliage make this a very scenic 5-mile November paddle. This part of the Jordan River water trail is all flat-water where navigation hazards include a few rocky spots, some shallow areas, over hanging tree branches, river debris, and water features which replaced earlier low head dams. Two of these water features have a portage-around option.

Please check your equipment for serviceability and to ensure your boat is free of aquatic nuisance/invasive species. Everyone will need to wear a PFD for this event. This activity is appropriate for boating enthusiasts who can supply their own equipment, and who can safely maneuver their boat in current to avoid river obstacles. Boaters are responsible for their safety on the water. Meet Elliott at Millcreek’s new Jordan River trailhead located at 1015 West 3900 South at 11:00AM.

Trailhead Directions: The Millcreek Jordan River Trailhead is on the south side of 3900 South and on the east side of the Jordan River at 1015 West. (Note: this road is signed 3900 South if coming from the east and 4100 South if coming from the west.) We’ll rally in the parking lot. This is our take-out location. From this location we’ll organize a carpool/caravan to the put-in site in Murray and begin our paddle adventure. Plan on about 2-hours on the river.
