Digital mixed methods for experimenting in the wild
Committing to user involvement throughout the design process isn’t always easy with limited access, budget constraints and of course, looming deadlines. However, combining mixed methods technique and an array of free, third party frameworks, it doesn’t have to take much technical knowledge or expensive platforms to cheaply create prototypes of any kind that can be tested at scale.
From validating metrics to virtual co-design, this talk will discuss approaches, useful tools and platforms for doing unmoderated testing in cost-effective and creative ways.About Florence
Florence Okoye is a user experience designer and qualitative researcher with a particular fascination with designing for complex systems. She has worked in a range of sectors, from utilities to independent publishing, cybersecurity to care start-ups, but is currently deeply ensconced in the world of museums and heritage, tackling questions such as revenue generation, audience-centred content, supporting community science/research, open data, connecting infrastructures, and design justice.
