Let's discover Rastro de Valencia in its special Beteró neighborhood!
It's a modest flea market with a storied history full of fun and wtf finds.Rastro de Valencia operates every Sunday from 9:00 until 14/2:00PM so you are welcome to check it out whenever works best for your schedule.
We'll meet at 09:30 AM outside Estación de Cabañal and wanderlust around the surrounding area together for about an hour to reach the market in time for some thrifting.
This event is FREE. I am not affiliated with the market itself nor any of its vendors. At the end, the host might pass the hat for welcome donations but the point is to discover a new barrio and thrift away :)

Sunday, November 1st / Turia / SunsetFollowing the success of Pan's Picnic with Shamagika at Esoteric Expats, we are happy to invite you to the Ceremony honoring the Ancestors of Valencia and our own personal lineage.
In cultures around the world, this is traditionally a time of year to honor the Spirits of the Dead. Magically, it is considered the ending of the annual cycle, a time to contemplate the coming winter and energetically fortify ourselves, discarding and banishing any unwanted elements as we metaphysically journey through the Underworld towards the Spring. LOCATION
We'll meet at 'Ruinas Romanas y Visigodas' inside the Turia park. This fascinating site is located at the level of Calle de Boix between the bridges of Trinitat and Real.PROGRAM
- A talk on the magical significance of this season, its symbolic meaning and how to best work it towards wellness and fruition of your ideas.
- An open circle to collectively honor those that have past over, sharing in our grief and joys together, as we celebrate the lives of the Muertos.
- A beautiful Ceremony to honor the Ancestors.

MEG ROUJE is a solo traveler, mom of a fluffy potato cat, IACC-certified color consultant, and photographer with synesthesia — she experiences names, music, and Tuesdays as colors. Which explains her lifelong obsession with it. Over the past 15+ years, she has written a thesis on color perception and the anomalous mind, taught color strategy to businesses and creative teams, and convinced brands that absolutely everything comes down to the shade of blue they choose. Her writing has appeared in Fast Company, and she is the creator of the Colors of Valencia project, which explores what makes this city so magnetic.ALEXEY TIMBUL is a storyteller who has taught at Academy of Art University (San Francisco) and International Fashion Academy (Paris). Since 2023 he's been on the jury of CLEC Fashion Festival in the City of Arts and Sciences, a host of Book Lovers Unplugged literary open mic at the only English language bookstore in Valencia, and the producer of @StandUpComedyValencia shows. Most importantly, Alexey is a fulltime Gemini with ADHD.
