VegKC Blue Nile Café Restaurant Meetup!
📍 Located in the City Market (aka River Market)
🍴ABOUT THE VENUE
They offer a flavorful variety of scratch-made Ethiopian dishes, and more than half of the menu is vegan-friendly!
Highlights include:
- Veggie Sampler Platter for Two – a generous spread of all vegan mains served on a large piece of injera
- Half Platter for One – choose any 4 vegan dishes
Ethiopian cuisine is traditionally eaten without utensils—you’ll scoop up the dishes using pieces of injera, a spongy, slightly tangy flatbread made from teff grain (note: their injera is not gluten-free).
Expect a mix of vibrant flavors and textures: lentils with berbere spice, sautéed greens, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, and seasonal soups like Duba Shorba (onion, squash, yellow lentils). Though the buffet is no longer offered, the samplers are a great alternative.
🍲 MENU EXAMPLES
