What we’re about
Welcome to Wadsworth Adventurers! My name is Cynthia and my husband (Tom) and I have been members of "WA" since its inception.
Are you looking to meet new people who share your interests, make new friends and have fun? Then join us! We strive to be all inclusive, non-judgmental, drama and predator free. We want this group to be a safe, comfortable atmosphere for everyone, so if you are looking to make a love connection this is not a dating site. We hope that you will respect everyone's personal space and differing views. We have a "no man left behind" policy, every member is important to us. Let's just have a good time together.
If you sign up for an event and can’t make it, simply change your RSVP😊 as soon as possible. Events with less than 3 people will usually be canceled.
Can’t wait to meet you!😃

Beginner Backpacking Overnighter - Richfield Heritage Preserve
Summer Barn at RHP, 4225 Oviatt Road, Richfield , OH, USIf you've never backpacked before but always wanted to try, this is an easy, no-fail way to get the experience of what it means to backpack. And the best part is - it is VERY close to home.
We meet at 1pm, ready to step off, and backpack to our campsite. Plan on hiking between 2-3 miles to the site as we work our way around RHP. We will setup our tents, prep the fire, (wood is provided so we only need to source kindling). After setup - we can relax - make a good lunch - and then maybe hike some more. If you need gear to make it through the night - just ask - we can assist. In the morning, we wake up at leisure, quick breakfast and then hike back to our cars.
There are numerous miles of hiking opportunities, two lakes and so much to see. The fall colors should be peak as well.
There is a rustic latrine at our site as well as a group shelter area for our use & for cooking.I'm not sure how many people we can have on the site - so this is a first come, first served. The cost is $15 pp for the site cost & to support the WA group.
This opportunity is as supported as backpacking is going to get - so if you've ever wanted to try it - now is the time!!!

We are staying at the Courtyard Erie Bayfront Hotel (dual queen rooms) Courtyard Erie Bayfront
Overnight Lake Erie Winery tour from Erie, PA into Western NY.
Rough outline of what to expect. Saturday morning we gather at the hotel in Erie PA and visit 5-6 wineries in the Lake Erie Wine Trail. Plan to depart the hotel parking lot at noon and return by 6pm. After a quick break to freshen up we all meet for dinner at the hotel restaurant. Afterwards we can swim, hot tub, outdoor firepits, games, whatever. Sunday morning breakfast, check out and option to visit 2 more Ohio wineries on the way home.To keep the cost at $150pp double-occupancy we cannot afford to add a bus/driver. Therefore we will carpool or caravan to the wineries. I will be driving one car, and can accommodate 4 passengers. If you truly want a bus/driver - it will add approx. $60 per person to the price. Majority rules here - happy to secure the bus (if they are still open and everyone is ok with the up-charge).
Great opportunity to see fall's final colors, grab some unique wines for holiday hosting or gift giving, spend time with friends......
8 attendeesAlum Creek CampOut / Holiday Tent Decorating / Light Show!
Location not specified yetBack by popular demand!!!! We are headed back to Alum Creek for our annual winter camp out. Join us for hiking, bonfires, tent decorating, ugly Christmas sweater party, delicious food and of course, THE LIGHTS!!! Alum State Park Light Show
Alum is so cool in the winter as the place is almost empty and we have plenty of room to setup!
The sites will have electric available, so you can setup a small heater in your tent if you want. Last year - we had our tent super warm and comfy - weather is usually not as cold as you might think.
We will hike on Saturday during the day and take in the Drive Thru light show on Saturday evening. Every site reservation gets a free ticket to the light show and front-of-the-line priority access.
We will have a central canopy area for the bonfires and dining! Flush toilets are available, but I think the shower house will be closed.
Reserve your site at ReserveOhio.com Alum Creek - and look in Loop B. Once you've booked your site, please note it in the comments. Site costs of $35/night (there are some discounts available) and they are pretty small so be mindful if sharing with someone. if you book on the inside of loop B (B30-B43) we can have a little more room.
