Arrive in Rome and Travel just over 2 hours to the charming world heritage town of Assisi in the heart of Mt Subasio national park.(Tour 1) Enjoy a cosy stay at a mid-range hotel and their homely Christmas decor and delicious breakfast
On Day 2 we begin with a leisurely walk in the national park. At midday we bus it 40 minutes up the road to Gubbio. Watchout for the marvellous work of Albero as we approach another medieval gem in the foothills of the Apennines. The Albero men have been rolling out cable and climbing ladders since the 2nd Sunday of September constructing the World's largest Christmas tree – Guinness book of World Records 1991!
The city of stone is full of Christmas magic and wonder as daylight falls. The Christmas displays include a 3 street Quarter depicting sights from how the local markets and crafts would have been during the Nativity. For the brave there's a funicular up to the top of the tree on Mt Ingino, and local weekend entertainment.
On Day 3 we travel 25 minutes by train to the historical city of Perugia. Enjoy roasted chestnuts, mulled wine and lots more Italian traditions at the City Christmas market
The hotel is Mid Range, and maybe another one. Please leave the reservations with me, otherwise it can get messy
