Reeling in Redemption: Cast Your Nets for Our Jonah Bible Study
Jonahs fishtail from the Belly of the Whale: Navigating Jonah’s Stormy Seas Together. Cast your nets wide and join us this Thursday December 11 as we start session 3 Desperate Times, Desperate Measures, trolling through the depths of our Bible study on Jonah with Priscilla Shirer’s six-episode series, “Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted.” We’ll bait the hook with discussions on those infamous fish slappers, reel in thoughts on who represents Nineveh in our own lives—the folks God calls us to reach out to despite the rough waters—and reflect on the spots where we’ve let His directives slip through our fingers like a big one that got away. What’s your personal Nineveh, that place or person you’ve been dodging?
Worship kicks off at 7:10 PM, followed by teaching and sharing from 7:15 to 8:15 PM, wrapping up with a serving of apple and pecan pie to sweeten the haul. Anchor in by 5:55 PM so we can pray and feast at 6:15 PM—Frances and John are providing a salmon dinner. Bring along a salad, side dish, or individual unsweetened sparkling drinks to share, helping us all stay afloat in fellowship. Text John (719-351-7913) or Frances (541-219-2713) for the address and gate code.
