4:30 PM | Jose Muldoon's Dinner: Meet at 222 N Tejon St for festive Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes on the award-winning outdoor patio. Guests must pay for their own meals.
5:45 PM | Bill Settlement: Pay your individual bill and cash out quickly so the group can walk across the street before the music starts.
5:50 PM | Park Arrival & Logistics: Walk to Acacia Park Bandshell (115 E Platte Ave). Bring a lawn chair, coat, and blanket. Park at meters or the City Cascade Garage (215 N Cascade Ave) for a $4-$6 flat rate after 4 PM. Leashed dogs are welcome, but no alcohol is permitted. If skipping dinner, bring your own food or buy from onsite food trucks.
6:00 PM | Concert Kickoff: Enjoy the free Jacob Larson Band performance featuring funk, soul, and R&B music. Dance and mingle during this interactive performance.
8:00 PM | Ice Cream Social: Walk to Lolley's Ice Cream (216 N Tejon St) after the final encore. Sit outside on the sidewalk chairs to socialize.

4:30 PM | Optional Pre-Concert Dinner: Meet at Cowboy Star Restaurant & Butcher Shop (5198 N Nevada Ave, Unit 150, Colorado Springs, CO 80918), widely considered a premier Colorado Springs steakhouse. This is an expensive splurge averaging $70 to $140+ per person. Entrées include an 8 oz. Filet Mignon ($62.00) and Skuna Bay Salmon ($34.00).

6:50 PM | Concert Arrival: Arrive at the University Village Colorado Shopping Center North Plaza (between Hacienda Colorado and Smashburger, 5246 N. Nevada Ave., Colorado Springs, CO), located just across the parking lot. Park in the public UVC lots.
7:00 PM | Concert Kickoff: Soul School takes the stage for a free, dry evening of classic old-school funk, R&B, retro dance, and pop hits. Attendees must bring their own chairs or blankets. Dancers usually gather down front on the right side of the stage, while sitters gather center-to-left up the stairs. Dress for warm outdoor conditions with zero rain in the forecast. but prepare yourself for Colorado changes!

Gold Hill Mesa Community Center Lawn, 142 S. Raven Mine Dr.
3:45 PM | Arrival: you can park on the street all around the Gold Hill Mesa, or within a few blocks. It’s not too far to walk parking spaces fill fast. Put your lawn chairs or blankets in front of the band as close as you can with others in the group if possible.
4:00 PM | Concert Kickoff: Dancing space on the grass in front of the band. The band will start playing high-energy rock and pop anthems.
Intermission | Food Truck Break if you want: Attendees will shop local food trucks or enjoy permitted picnic snacks.
7:00 PM | after the group is done performing we can travel to Rudy's Bar-B-Q (315 S 31st St) for late-evening socializing before it closes at 10 PM.

Logistics & Requirements
Parking & Weather: Arrive early as parking fills fast. Colorado weather will hover around 80° and cloudy, but dress defensively for sudden changes.
Seating & Containers: Lawn chairs or blankets are essential because seating is not provided. Cans, glass bottles, and large coolers are prohibited.
Pets & Extras: Well-behaved dogs will remain on a leash at all times. Umbrellas or small pop-up tents must stay in designated back areas.
Gathering Rule: As a dry group, members will avoid alcohol during this outing.

5:15 PM | Prayer & Dinner: John and Frances will serve Central Texas-style smoked brisket. We will pray for Indigenous Peoples, living U.S. vice presidents, and WWII veterans (National Spirit of '45 Day).
5:30 PM | Trivia: Test your knowledge on topics covering Indigenous Peoples, National Book Lovers Day, Veep Day, and the Spirit of '45.
6:15 PM | Dessert: Celebrate birthdays of Julie Dunham (7/21), Susan Taylor (3), and Eureka Sureka (4), David Evangelides (9) with a Chantilly cake.
Inspired from the movie, the birthday girls will be given flowers.
6:30 PM | Cinema Screening: Watch the 1998 romantic drama Hope Floats (Rated PG-13, 1h 54m) starring Sandra Bullock and Harry Connick Jr.
8:30 PM | Post-Movie: Sharing & Discussion: discussions on the movies theme: marriage friendship betrayal, and child abandonment and alcoholism.
