Chesterbrook PARKING, 6PM: Valley Forge Hike & Pizza/Drinks

Starting AT 6:00PM.. meeting at the Chesterbrook Shopping Center (near HG Coal Fired Pizza at 500 Chesterbrook Blvd, Chesterbrook, PA 19087).... BRING FLASHLIGHTS

VALLEY FORGE HIKE:
In order to avoid the risk of being parked after dark, we will start at the Chesterbrook Shopping Center, and hike under the PA Turnpike in the abandoned tunnel and over Mt Misery and Mt Joy. We will still try to be out of the park by dark, but bring a flashlight as we will finish in the dark. This will be about 5 miles with 800ft of elevation gain. This is an intermediate hike (not for beginners without any cardio conditioning), and we will move at a moderate pace of about 3.0mph. With the climbs, you need to be in pretty decent shape to keep up, and the mildly rocky terrain requires hiking shoes.

This is a "dog friendly" hike, if your dog will keep up and is friendly with other dogs, but dogs are not allowed in HG Coal Fired Pizza...it can stay in the car while we eat/drink. Your dog is your responsibility and should be leashed (per the park rules, and to hike with us).

HG Coal Fired Pizza which does not allow dogs inside, but is BYOB.
