The WFF goes to Germany:Part 2: Wolff's Biergarten inAlbany, then a German film.
Details
On Friday, December 19th, we'll meet for dinner at 5:00 at Wolff's Biergarten at 895 Broadway in downtown Albany. This place serves great German beers, pork schnitzel, chicken schnitzel, German pretzels, a German goulash, a variety of German sausages, and so on.
After dinner, we'll see an excellent film from a director who became famous directing films in Germany.
As always, we will provide some snacks and drinks and ask for only a small $5/person donation in return.
After the movie, I plan to go to The Berlin bar/speakeasy in Troy to chat about the movie in an appropriately 1930's-Germany-themed bar. I'm hoping some of you will join me. Here's a description:
"The Berlin is a 1930s-inspired, cozy cocktail lounge in Troy, NY, known for its vintage, speakeasy-style atmosphere with dim lighting, jazz music, and expertly crafted cocktails. Located above the Troy Beer Garden, it offers a curated menu of specialty drinks, wine, beer, and small plates, making it a popular spot for a stylish night out, date nights, or gatherings. The venue also hosts events like trivia nights and can be rented for private functions."
Please let me know how many in your party and if you're joining us for
- dinner
- the movie
- the bar chat after the movie
Thanks.
