Wachusett Mountain Skiing/Snowboarding Trip (All Skill Levels)
Details
**** You must sign up for this event for free on the AMC website. Meetup is only used to promote events, and signing up on Meetup does not constitute signing up for the event *****
Skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels are invited to join the Narragansett Chapter 20s & 30s for a fun and flexible day at Wachusett Mountain! If you're an intermediate or above, you're welcome to hit the slopes at any time and head out at any time; if you're a beginner interested in taking lessons, join us at 8:45 so that you can take 10:00 AM lessons with other members of the club. Everyone is invited to have lunch in the Mountain Lodge around noon, and those who stick around until 6:00 PM are invited for a group dinner as well.
Intermediate and Above
- Wachusett offers a wide variety of ticket types. There are 4-hour and 8-hour tickets, plus tickets for various "sessions" throughout the day. See the ticket options and select the one that works best for you: https://www.wachusett.com/tickets-passes/lift-tickets/daily-lift-tickets/
- Slopes are open until 9:30 PM
- If you're interested in an intermediate lesson, you can sign up for a 1:00 PM slot. See the lesson page here: https://www.wachusett.com/lessons-rentals/lessons/group-lessons/. Please note that we can't guarantee that other event members will be interested in an intermediate lesson.
- You're invited to ski/snowboard with other non-beginners in the group, but if you find we go too slowly or too quickly, you are of course welcome to go off on your own. Just remember to meet us for lunch!
Beginners
- We assume you are taking beginner lessons. If you have never skied/snowboarded before and do not plan on taking lessons, this is not the event for you
- If you plan to stay on the bunny (beginner) slopes after your lesson, you should look into a beginner bundle, which offers a full-day lift ticket for bunny slopes, rentals, and a lesson. See bundle here: https://www.wachusett.com/lessons-rentals/lessons/beginner-packages/
- If you plan to tackle non-beginner trails after your lesson, you should first purchase a lift ticket and then purchase a lesson separately. We recommend a 4- or 8-hour ticket, depending on how long you'd like to stay after your lesson. See lessons here: https://www.wachusett.com/lessons-rentals/lessons/group-lessons/ and lift tickets here: https://www.wachusett.com/tickets-passes/lift-tickets/daily-lift-tickets/
- If we have enough people who fall into the first beginner category, we'll try to take advantage of the beginner buddies pass: https://www.wachusett.com/lessons-rentals/lessons/bring-a-friend/
Approximate Cost
For those not purchasing a beginner bundle:
- Skis/boots/poles or snowboard/boots: $50
