Our teammates Grace and Jeremy are hosting this conversation with special guests Derrick Fields (Chicago-based artist, video game director, and educator exploring the cross-cultural blend of Black and Japanese media) and Restoried owner Justin Valas.

This Spotlight focuses on Black and Asian cultural dialogue through manga, anime, and fiction. This event brings together a diverse group of local guests for a lecture, panel discussion, and Q&A. We’ll tackle the characters, collaborations, cross-cultural connections that underpin the stories and communities we love.
