The Blitz: When to double.

Blitzes are characterized by quick doubles, big swings of fortune and plenty of gammons.

Doubling with a 2-point home board is unusual. 3-point home boards often yield stong doubles but clear takes. A 4-point home board is a sign of a likeky pass.

How many checkers on the Bar. One checker is typical. 2 checkers on the Bar usually means pass.

One vulnerable blot is tolerable. More than one usually means a pass.
