This online seminar will give a basic understanding of problem solving to help you develop more effective problem solving skills and sound decision making, which you can then apply to your life & work. The seminar will cover a set of problem solving strategies that can make it easier and quicker to solve your problems, as well as help increase the quality of the solutions to your problems.
Seminar Outline
· Why use structured problem solving strategies?
· Define the structure of a problem.
· What makes problems hard to solve? Also knows as difficulties, blocks or barriers.
· How to make problem solving easier by splitting the problem up into 6 smaller sub-problems.

  1. Finding the best problem to solve.
  2. Defining your problem.
  3. Generating possible solutions.
  4. Deciding on the best solution.
  5. Implementing the solution chosen.
  6. Evaluating the outcome and learning from it.
    Exercises on how to put it all together will help develop some skills.
