Hello fellow humans, here we are, in this moment, reading these words, what does your breath feel like in your body? how does you posture feel? What is most alive for you right now?
Exploring who you we are can be a whole lot of fun and goodness when done in a supportive environment.
You are warmly invited to this immersive evening of Authentic Relating. This evening will involve fun and interactive exercises based around exploring the theme, "Who am I? How am I? and how are you?"
This is a space for exploring feelings, sensations, boundaries, and self-expression through immersive exercises. This is about empathic collaboration, and learning the art of expressing what is present in the moment.
These beautiful practices really encourage an experience of increased depth and awareness, in a way that is sometimes not available in our everyday lives. The exercises work by creating a framework to explore communication in a non-scripted, in the moment way, which edges away from habitual patterns of relating and welcomes in more life, more breath, and more empathy.
One of the benefits of practices, is that it helps with learning to become more aware of ourselves and others and how do we inter-relate.
***NOTE: It is recommended that participants have some experience in understanding themselves, through participating in counselling, sharing circles, meditation, contemplation.
If you are new to Authentic Relating or "AR" (as people in the community refer to it) and you have any questions or curiosities, please feel free to contact me via messenger for a chat. Also there is a plenty of YouTube results for Authentic Relating practices.
Please arrive on time, unfortunately sometimes people get caught in traffic, or life events stop them from arriving on time. However, for practical reasons the latest people will be allowed in will be 7:15-7:20. The reason being is that we need to set the container and speak about the shared agreements at the start of the event before deepening into the exercises.
****If you are experiencing financial hardship and wish to attend, please reach out and we can arrange something.
NOTE: for the 3rd of October, my dear friend Guillaume will be facilitating the evening, as I (Dan) am away in FNQ. I've shared a lot of spaces with him and have always deeply appreciate the way he shows up, and holds space, as a participant and also as facilitator. Here's a little bit from him and his interests.
"I am always looking for ways to better connect with others using the power of authenticity whilst regularly failing at it, I have been facilitating events for the last few years including regular AR games workshops at Confest, and incorporating Authentic Relating with mens work events.
I have trained in authentic relating with ART international where I am currently enrolled in the facilitation certification level 4 program, Rick Smith, and Authentic Revolution. I am also the co-creator and host of Intentional Dinners.
After walking away from my corporate career last year to focus on things that make my heart and soul sing (on top of AR and body work, I am also currently studying gestalt psychotherapy). I am very excited to step in for Daniel in October and be with you for an evening of deep connections with self and with each other!"
About Daniel Cully - facilitator and founder of A.C.M
"I've had a long history of interest in understanding my mind through various means of enquiry from Meditation, Yoga, Transpersonal Counselling, Sound Healing and Neurofeedback. In the last 7 years I have been deeply involved in the Authentic Relating movement immersing myself in practices and deriving tremendous insight into myself and others and also experiencing regularly, a feeling of shared humanity, and new ways to engage in the practices."
Some logistical things to note:
-It is helpful for people to arrive before the start time of the event so that we can start in the most cohesive way. If in the unlikely event you are running really late, the doors for the event will be locked after 15 mins to max 20 minuets after the event has commenced.
-Refunds are not available, however you can receive an 80% credit for a future event and it must be used within 6 months of original event.
