About us
This is a group for anyone who is interested in deepening their awareness of themselves through relating with others.
Authentic Relating (AR) is a movement very popular in the US, that teaches ways of connecting deeply with oneself and others through games and applicable practices. AR is a celebration of all parts of ourselves that draws us closer together in our shared exquisitely messy humanness.
AR has been called a "relational meditation", where you can broaden your awareness of who you are by simply being present with another.
This group will also hold other conscious connecting events to introduce you to like-minded humans in deep and meaningful ways.
We look forward to knowing you.

Also, please read all details, in this page and eventbrite pageHello everyone!
You are warmly invited to this immersive evening of Authentic Relating. This event will involve fun and interactive exercises based around exploring the theme, "What is like to be in connection with myself and others?"
This is a space for exploring feelings, sensations, boundaries, and self-expression through immersive exercises. This is about empathic collaboration and learning the art of expressing what is present in the moment.
These beautiful practices really encourage an experience of increased depth and awareness, in a way that is sometimes not available in our everyday lives. The exercises work by creating a framework to explore communication in a non-scripted, in the moment way, which edges away from habitual patterns of relating and welcomes in more life, more breath, and more empathy.
One of the benefits of practices, is that it helps with learning to become more aware of ourselves and others and how do we inter-relate.
***NOTE: It is recommended that participants have some experience introspection and shadow work, through participating in counselling, sharing circles, meditation, contemplation, yoga, or any modality that is designed to bring people into contact with their unconscious. This is stated as a duty of care, as the practices in authentic relating revolve around meeting ourselves deeply and coming into contact with how we are occurring the world. This process can be beautifully enlivening, and at times confronting, but the space is guided in such a way that it brings as much holding, and gentleness to the process as to make those courageous steps to share deeply, easier.
If you are new to Authentic Relating or "AR" (as people in the community refer to it) and you have any questions or curiosities, please feel free to contact me via messenger for a chat. Also, there is a plenty of YouTube results for Authentic Relating practices.
*** *If you are experiencing financial hardship and wish to attend, please reach out and we can arrange something.
**please read Eventbrite details to.
**you cannot attend without pre-purchasing a ticket through the Eventbrite link.
**The doors for the event close 15 minuets after the start time, meaning, no entry is allowed once we have set the container, and spoken about the agreements, so please make the appropriate arrangements to arrive on time.
About me.
I've had a long history of interest in understanding my mind through various means of enquiry from Meditation, Yoga, Transpersonal Counselling, Sound Healing and Neurofeedback. In the last 8 years I have been deeply involved in the Authentic Relating movement immersing myself in practices and deriving tremendous insight into myself a growth within my own personal relationships as a result of this work. I have been facilitating groups to journey deeply into this work for the last 4 years and I am continually on a journey of getting to know myself deeper and bring artistry and humility to facilitating.
The event will most likely finish on time, with a 10-minuet buffer at the end in case we go over, there will be spare time to hang around and chat after.
There will also be a 15-minute break in the middle of the event, with some small snacks provided.

Fundamentals of Authentic Relating - Self Expression
Mysore Melbourne, 130C Nicholson Street, Brunswick East, AUBeing known, felt, and seen is a deep longing most of us have.
Yet, revealing ourselves without blaming, withdrawing, or over‑explaining can be challenging and some things are left out of conversation - sensations, emotions, impulses and desires…
This workshop is about becoming more aware of what is happening inside us in real time when we engage with others, developing the communication skills, and finding the courage to speak from that place in a way that deepens connection.
Through a series of experiential games, we will explore how to bring more honesty, clarity and aliveness into relationships by:
- Revealing more of ourselves and the things we don’t normally share in different forms, and discover the impacts on us and on others
- Using the aliveness of the present moment
- Taking more ownership of our own experience
- Expressing ourselves in ways that brings closeness
- Reflecting on the meaning we make of words

Tickets start at $30.

The Art of Authentic Relating - Level 1 - deep dive - 4 class immersion
AKA Studio Yoga, 130C Nicholson St, Brunswick East, VI, AUJoin us for a transformative 4-week immersion workshop in Authentic Relating and practice of deeper listening, designed to enhance your experience of intimacy and aliveness within connection, and cultivate the embodied skills required to navigating deep connections. Each week, we will explore themes, including self-awareness, vulnerability, empathy, and artful communication. Through experiential learning, group discussions, in a supportive environment, you will learn be able to practice "active listening", express yourself authentically, and cultivate more meaningful exchanges.
There will also be a deeper dive into the practice of artful reflecting and responding to others, and how to respond to someone's sharing in a way that makes them feel seen while expresses the core of what you wanted to share. This is an ongoing process of learning these skills, but we will be covering some of the core foundations of this skill, through discussion and practice.
There will be a strong emphasis on slowing down, tuning into the body, and allowing the habitual communication patterns to relax, while organically giving space for the novelty of spontaneous truths to be spoken and revealed. Having a closed group of participant and journeying over 4 x 3 hour classes, over 4 weeks, will allow for a new level of depth and practice to extend and expand your capacity for more aliveness and more realness. This is a workshop for people who seek for more depth in their relating, for those who have a curiosity that calls them forward into the mystery of life.
The workshops will consist of core authentic relating practices, but with the continuation of participants and familiarity it will allow for greater depth, nervous system regulation and greater sense of safety. some other practices that usually won't be run in one-off events, will also be able to be explored due to the increased depth of the group.
If this sounds like something you want to explore, I look forward to sharing the space with you and others. If you have any questions, please reach out.
** people in challenging financial situations are welcome to reach out and we work something outThe pricing of the event is done in a way which hopefully makes it accessible to most people; however it is more expensive than the monthly AR nights per session. This for few reasons:
-the level of space holding and depth that the deep dive facilitates requires more space holding
-there is a cap on the group as to not make it too large
-there is more actually teaching and coaching around the authentic relating practice compared with the Monthly.all bookings must be made through https://events.humanitix.com/authentic-relating-deep-dive

About your facilitator.
Daniel has spent many years exploring practices that deepen self-awareness, connection, and understanding of the human mind. His journey has included meditation, yoga, studying an Advanced Diploma of Transpersonal Counselling at the Phoenix Institute, neurofeedback, and working in support roles for transformational events, where he was closely mentored in space holding and sound healing between 2013–2018.
Dan first encountered Authentic Relating at Confest in 2014, where he met his long-term mentor, Ryan Marwood, one of the early pioneers of Authentic Relating workshops in Melbourne. Daniel’s facilitation style has been deeply shaped through thousands of hours participating in Ryan’s workshops, trainings, and community spaces. Since then, he has continued to immerse himself in hundreds of workshops, facilitator trainings, and group experiences within the Authentic Relating world.
For the past five years, Dan has been facilitating monthly Authentic Relating Games nights, as well as deeper immersive group trainings that invite people into greater connection, presence, authenticity, and courageous vulnerability. He continues to engage in ongoing trainings and embodied practices, bringing a grounded, heartfelt, and continually evolving approach to his facilitation.
