Sailortown to Titanic
Details
It seems there's time for one last walk before Christmas, so let's go for a relaxing ramble around Sailortown and the Maritime Mile!
This is a walk taking in Belfast's maritime history packaged in a level, easy stroll with lots of history relating to Belfast's docklands and the shipyards that built the Titanic.
We'll start at St Joseph's Church on Princess Dock Street where there's parking.
From Sailortown, we'll walk past the historic Clarendon Dock and pub haunts of yesteryear (Pat's and Rotterdam bars). We'll walk through the beautiful new City Quays gardens and then pass the Big Fish and go across the Lagan Weir Footbridge to Titanic Quarter, passing some of the city’s greatest attractions such as the SS Nomadic, Titanic Belfast, the Great Light and Thompson Dock.
After the walk, we can go to the American Bar for a coffee and a chat.
This walk costs £6 for non-members and £1 for subscribed members.
If travelling by public transport, it's a 5 minute walk from York Street station, or if travelling by bus into town you can join us at the Big Fish at about 7:15pm (please let me know, so I know to look out for you).
If you need a lift, post up and someone may be able to help. Please give the driver a contribution to cover fuel.
Directions:
Meetup phone app: The best way to get to our locations is to use the GPS on your smartphone. Just click on a map pin with the location name beside it under the day of the event. Your phone's GPS directions will give you voice instructions on how to get there from your own front door - just like a sat nav.
Old Money Directions: You're going to park outside St Joseph's Church, Sailortown at:

From M1/Westlink, head north-east on A12, turn left onto York St, turn right onto Dock St (don't go past the Docks entrance as you'll have gone too far), turn right onto Short Street, turn left onto Princes Dock St. Park along the road opposite the church.
This walk is also accessible by rail or bus (alight York Street) and take the three minute walk to St Joseph's church.
