Ride Description:
This ride takes us from Sierra Vista to the San Pedro River, and to Tombstone where we plan to stop for coffee, lunch, and pie. The scenery is off the charts. It includes views of the lush San Pedro River and the mountains surrounding Tombstone.
We will spend about and hour in Tombstone so you will have time to stroll along historic Freemont Street and grab some lunch at one of the many eateries.
This ride is not for inexperienced riders as there are no support services for 30 miles along our route.
Departing from Sierra Vista we will enjoy a long gradual descent to the lush San Pedro River before beginning a nine mile climb out of the valley to nearly 5,000 ft elevation. The next nine miles to Tombstone are mostly downhill.
