SOMA Breath Workshop @ Sweat Equity
Details
During this 90-minute SOMA Breath experience, we allow emotions, energy, and insight to move through the body naturally—guided by the breath, music, and awareness. We begin with gentle movement and free-form dance, led by amazing music rather than instruction. There is no choreography and no pressure, only permission to move in whatever way feels natural and true for you, it is a journey inward, guided by the heart.
You will then be introduced to the practice of humming, a powerful yet simple technique that helps release stored tension, calm the nervous system, and bring the body into balance. Together, we will practice this technique as a way to let go of what no longer serves us and create space for clarity and renewal, not discovering a new you, but a true you from your heart.
The experience continues with a guided intention, followed by a deep meditation and relaxation, allowing the body and mind to fully integrate the practice and rest in a state of calm, presence, and self-love.
*** We will serve ‘Kusi tea’ and lemon/mint infused water.
SOMA Breath is a science-informed breathwork practice that uses rhythmic breathing, breath retention, and music to influence the nervous system and brain activity, promoting emotional regulation, stress reduction, and cognitive clarity.
Studies conducted in collaboration with Cambridge University have demonstrated measurable changes in brainwave patterns and positive shifts in mood and mental state associated with the practice.
