Mount Higby Hike From Route 66
Details
This is a 4 mile out and back hike with 900 feet elevation gain. We will go at a moderate pace, 2.0 mph. There are some rock scrambles.
The hike starts at the Route 66 parking lot east of Meriden.
Dress in layers. If there’s snow or ice, micro spikes are recommended.
After the hike, we can have lunch nearby. Guida’s is close, but appears to be just takeout now. Athenian Diner II in Middletown is a 6 minute drive. Other suggestions are welcome.
